This reaction just popped up in my feed, even though I subscribe on you I admit I’ve missed this one. I truly love this song. The musicians are so tight here. The bass player really awesome at the final portion. The drummer really tasteful in the more jazzy section. Loved you reacion
I’m always amazed at the lyrics of this song, I mean I know she’s a Pisces but damn, for me it’s got depth in every way, I’ll flop upon the banks of a river with her any day!
I'm so far down my third or fourth random rabbit hole for reactions to this song. Pretty sure this is the earliest one I've seen yet.... ... yet I press on. 🤘🏽
43 seconds in... " I Hope I will be pleasantly surprised". Everyone watching... "You have NO f*****g idea mate!" 1:12 - Ruben turns it up... Everyone watching... "Oooh... brave man" 2:05 THAT moment arrives... Ruben thinks "What the ACTUAL F**K? I wasn't expecting that!" Everyone watching virtually high fives each other.
I just discovered this band and have been watching everything online of theirs, including interviews. Eugene, the bassist, said that Opeth is his favorite band, and it's one of mine, too, so I think it makes sense I like them so much
Words of Wisdom is their other great one but this stands above them all the song is special indeed blew me away and still does, and I am SUPER PICKY about my metal music
This is the oldest reaction video to Jinjer's Pisces I've been able to find If so you sir were the first in a loooooong number of reactions that still go on to this day December 2023
Holy crap; female-fronted Ukrainian version of Opeth? I wonder if the voice is over-produced, or if she naturally comes up with those low growls. Really awesome sound to the band!
@@konstantinshvets7322 I wouldn't say "over-produced", sounds like some pretentious shit (whoever said that) but there is a lot of overdubbing on this track. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's not supposed to be a typical "live" recording. They probably did a couple of takes, kept most of the parts from their best one and dubbed some guitars and extra growls for the choruses. The band sounds tight as shit either way.
Alissa is in Arch Enemy now as you stated, but she was in The Agonist beforehand and yes she can sing both ways. Check out Thank You Pain by The Agonist for a demonstration.
The shock factor of her vocal talent often overshadows the band... thank you for commenting on their skill as well... but she is a a vocal beast. Look up their song called teacher teacher for a great example of her vocal control
Lauren Hart is certainly a great death metal vocalist... not bad at all! (And in a red dress she's just plain stunning too). I think musically Jinjer is way more interesting though
The Contorsionist - Language reinvented ! These guys are crazy musicians ! Or Protest The Hero, you should definitely check Protest The Hero ! Whatever song you wish !
Alissa from Arch Enemy screams and can sing as well, but did it with The Agonist and not anymore. So check out old Agonist to see. She doesn't have as deep a voice as Jinjer or Angela Gossow. Alissa does have an excellent singing scream though.
I must say that's the first time I've heard a woman do cookie-monster-vocals! The glass ceiling has been broken! 😉. I'm sure there are others but not that I've heard.
Before she went all Exorcist I was thinking this reminded me a bit of Lacuna Coil, my favorite metal band with a female singer. I wonder if they used some effect on her voice? Hard to believe they didn't. "There is no Dana. There is only Zool."
It is a "Live session" so it has been mastered afterwards with a bit of EQ and sound stacking but any band does the same on this type of release. Just search for real live videos of this band though and you will see her vocals are way more raw and brutal live.

seen around 6 different people react to this, you are the only one i wanted to hear the full reaction too! haha.. you should be impressed. =) grab some wine Ruben and enjoy the music. =)
Thanks for this reaction video to Jinjer, never heard of them before. I've met some Ukrainian metalheads during last Meet & Greet with Devin Townsend Project and they don't know this... they'll be just as pleasantly surprised as you :-D Just listened to a live recording of 30 minutes, impressive sound quality, great band, just a very lame (dead) crowd
Hey. You mentioned that you like bands with female vocalists like Jinjer here. In that case, you should also check out a band from Moldavia : Infected Rain - Mold Also The Agonist from Canada. From the time when Alissa White-Gluz was the vocalist. (She's now in Arch Enemy) "Thank You Pain" would be a good example.
Thx! You should check out the festival...example "Turisas-one more live in Nummirock". It´s like mini wacken. People come from many countries every year, even from America!
Seeing how you love Devin Townsend, you might want to try and react to Textures - Awake ! That songs is crazy, the vocals are just perfect ! The video clip is quite old but it still rocks :D
IF you wanna hear HOW current arch enemy singer doing clean vocals, REACT her older band called The Agonist - Thank You Pain video for example??.....there she doing bit both kind vocals (Clean and Scream vocals)
I love Jinjer and Singer Tatiana. But Allisa from Arch Enemy is really very versatile too! Just to answerer your Question if she can sing “clear” - that is only her voice A cappella : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oqvUIyoDgXU.html
