Right there with you man. Got turned onto them a few weeks ago, and am obsessed. Can't stop listening to them. Like you, this hasn't happened to me in a very long time.
@@Gabthe79 I've been mostly listening to industrial for the last couple of decades. These guys are the first band I've listened to regularly in at least that long that didn't use synthesizers as a core part of their sound. And I don't miss it. They create more enjoyable complexity with their 3 instruments than I get from bands with a second guitar and keyboards, and then you add Tati's vocals.
@@Gabthe79 I didn't realize it until I'd been listening to them a while, but with computers and AI infiltrating everything I appreciate the humanity of their music. It won't be more than 20 years, maybe a lot less, before a computer can crank out a generic pop song with autotuned vocals without any human being involved. Heck most lyrics these days sound like they were written by AI.
Didn't see anyone posting lyrics so here they are :) I keep on losing the keys From reality And now I'm passing on the wheel To insanity In a secluded corner Waiting for my time to come Waiting for the bedlam To be pacified I am climbing hand over fist And I scratch concrete Shine in the end my mistake It's not there The air is terribly heavy here It settles inside And I suffer burn, after burn From the dark Burn In a pit of consciousness Squeal is bleeding So I feel there was someone else Before me Eyes are changing colors A stranger knocks on my mind I became a foreigner To myself! Myself! Stillness stuns, wish I'd run Creeped away to the light In my head someone else Setting snares For my soul In the darkest place What was once named consciousness I'm a miniature I'm a sketch forfeiting outlines Irrelevant entity to sanity A hive for nonsense For multiple selves Resonating, but never compromising Stillness stuns, wish I'd run Creeped away to the light In my head someone else Setting snares For my soul For my soul Waiting for my mind to be pacified
The fact that she translated this from Ukrainian/Russian makes me wonder how one can artistically craft their deepest vulnerabilities/sentiments for it still be ingrained with poetic flavor in another language. Damn.
@@zoonie96 Bruh what u are say? Lmao her prose isn't too complex and in retrospect sort of looks like random phrasing thrown together. While not grammatically-rich in terms of traditional English, the free form in terms of syntax from her Russian mannerisms seem to undeniably reflect here. I guess that's what I admired when I wrote that comment.
I went to another country 3 years ago just to see them live for the first time, in one small venue, they were headliners, but still they were not popular, I follow their work for years and years now and believe me that now I'm one of the happiest people on this world, to see them and their popularity grow, 4 years ago I knew that they will be a huge band !!! And I still remember (ofc) when, 3 years ago, Eugene said to me "You're maybe first person that I met who traveled to another country just because of us" and now there are a lot of people on their shows who travel from all over the world just to hear them, GREAT !!! Deserved !!!
This is a year old and we still haven't hit the tip of the iceberg on how big this band will be. I believe they'll transcend onto top 40 and regular rock station rotation very soon.
I’m in NZ, almost hopped on a plane to see them in Melbourne/Australia recently . If they ever tour there again, I’m going to do it, life’s to short!!!!
I love Tatiana's passion and humility. That made her so much sexier. One day we will get married. She said she wanted to be a mommy last night..I plan to have around 77 babies with her 😏. A ballpark figure for now
This...is without a doubt...one of the best bands in the world right now (and I'm a fan of everything from bluegrass and jazz to pop and country). Creative, original, challenging, complex, unpredictable...both musically and lyrically. This is definitely not music for morons. Each musician is truly exceptional on their own...but the whole is definitely greater than the sum of the parts. Not just a tour-de-force of metal...but a tour-de-force of music!
@@rugierro retrospection is really the defining song on the albumn to me. The mix of ukranian lyrics with english sounds like a bad idea but the flow of it and how it was put together was masterful and it really shows their confidence as a band
Screaming growl vocals are not setting yourself apart, the band is great, but if it really wants to separate itself, try singing the whole song, why are modern metal fans so conditioned to take whatever there fed, a simple example, Slayer did not sound like Metallica, Metallica did not sound like Anthrax, Anthrax did not sound like Megadeth, Megadeth did not sound like Testament, Testament did not sound like Overkill, Overkill did not sound like Kreator etc etc etc... especially not vocally, why the hell does every metal band now sing a line and then scream the same line afterwards in the background, doesn't anybody get bored of this?
@@kamikazekrush3758 Plenty of bands already do clean singing. Doing a song with nothing but clean singing wouldn't set them apart any more than all screams or a mix of both would.
@@kamikazekrush3758 Have you listened to the album? It's not all screaming. There is lots of different singing styles and its switched up each song. Every song has singing, even part of a song sung in their native language. They set themselves apart from the screaming metal bands, imo. And the music is fire. It sounds to me like you didn't actually listen to it, or even this song for that matter. I personally can't stand screaming vocals. It's what took me many years to get into LOG. I like Opeth. That's the extent of screaming I can handle, or Pantera. But, every other screaming band nowadays sound the same to me. Jinjer doesn't sound the same to me.
@@ShmeeGrim exactly. And that's what Jinjer does. Screaming isn't my vibe. Jinjer changed that. I can tolerate it when its mixed up. That's why I like Opeth. Apparently, that dude hasn't heard many Jinjer songs.
This woman is a total fucking STAR. Wow. Her presence is immense. Her energy is out of this world. And each member of the band matches her power with their talent. Incredible.
Dave Birdy I dont know where you got that from mate but I’ve been following them pretty much since the beginning and have seen them live. I strongly disagree, but that’s just my opinion.
Hundreds of listens later I still can not get over how perfect this piece of art is. The instruments. The vocals. The lyrics. The cinematography. Literally everything about this is just plain perfect - and I rarely consider something perfect. Hats off to this band! Looking forward to their future.

Damn, these lyrics are just something else. One of my best friends was recently diagnosed with schizophrenia, and this reminded me of him. Poor guy, one of the most devastating diseases ever. I feel so much for him...
Bringing mental illness to the surface for discussion and collective understanding and empathy. Jinjer and Bloodywood leading the cause. Massive respect.
@Dowhat Iwant "This is a song that can be applied to each of us in the band. Living a life at a full pace after years of touring, have we accidently let someone else in our heads and become foreigners to ourselves? Holding on to the hope that we can keep those doors shut ..." - Eugene / Jinjer
Between the Buried And Me, Unearth, August Burns Red, As I Lay Dying, Polyphia, Animals As Leaders... just to name a few of the dozens of much more impressive bands. Not to say Jinjer isn't immensely talented, because they definitely are. But there's other bands that do it much better
2:25 that transition from the first tempo to a second that is one and a third faster, so that the second tempo can be in time with the syncopations of the first, this is pure genius
I have listened to, appreciated and enjoyed various forms of extreme vocals from all kinds of screams and growls for multiple decades dating back to the mid 90s, and I can honestly say Tatiana is the only person since I first heard Mikhael from Opeth who has made it sound so incredibly beautiful and incredibly evil at this level. This woman is a fucking absolute machine, right up there with Mike Patton, Floor Jensen and Akerfeldt for flawless technique and innovation in extreme music. I salute you.
I totally agree and I actually got to see Opeth in Feb 2020 at the Apollo theatre in Harlem and they were excellent, I really enjoyed myself it was the last show I saw b4 the pandemic hit. Of course I love Jinjer 😀
OMG this song just makes me want to send Tati a mental hug and the video makes it even more real. This whole album is so raw. Favorite video from the album so far.
This is the best Metal song I've heard in at least a decade (maybe longer.) Someone PLEASE kill this damned COVID thing so I can see this incredible band live!!!
Recently discovered this band and OMG, totally obsessed. In addition to her crazy voice, the lyrics are so meaningful i love how crazy talented they are
I've lost count how many epic songs they have. They're getting better and better every song they release. I'm just astonished how much work they've done so far. I'm so proud of them
Best current metal band out there in my opinion they are absolutley unbelievable out of this world musicians I love the time signatures they choose it's so many different styles in one Tatiana has a gift of just having effortless vocal talent I'm so bummed tickets for my city sold out in 2 days I wanna see them live so bad

Living a life at a full pace after years of touring, have we accidently let someone else in our heads and become foreigners to ourselves? Holding on to the hope that we can keep those doors shut ..." - Eugene / Jinjer Thanks for the music. Here's a novel idea: don't do that. Express yourself at your own pace.
DAMN IT, I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THIS SONG!!!!!!. I've been awake for about 3 hours and I've heard this song 20 times already And every time I hear it from the beginning, it feels like I'm hearing it for the very 1st time!! JINJER FOREVER!!!!!
I am as proud as I was for Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Dream Theater, Nightwish, Within Temptation, and Epica. Argentina's biggest import was Tarja. Ukraine's biggest export is JINJER!!! Thank you Ukraine!!!!
Maiden, 1980! This is the last time I felt this way about a band! And I've seen over 400 live shows, being lucky too grow up within 2 miles of Alpine Valley Concert Theatre, I was there when Stevie died, I was there for Motley Crue's Same ole situation video, and was there when Bill Cosby played as well as meeting Ronny James DIO! I met Rick Springfield, ( who was a douche)! and was also there when Metallica, Pantera and Megadeath we're opening acts! I saw Candle Box in a bar! Wasp hadn't made it yet! And Judas Priest was still a mainstay!
"I'm a sketch, forfeiting outlines", Such an awesome line and then the effects of her disintegrating after saying it... Damn this band needs more praise for the amazing poetry within in their songs.
Diese Frau ist jede Sünde wert, sie ist die Inkarnation einer Göttin. Diese Frau ist ein wahr gewordener Traum. This woman is worth every sin, she is the incarnation of a goddess. This woman is a dream come true.
