The continued evolution and maturity of Jinjer is apparent in both the music and videography. I continue to be impressed at Jinjer's ability to be themselves rather than try to fit into the current or popular metal "niche." Love Jinjer!
They are so damn progressive in this track. This is a lot like Home Back. The shift in timing is going to throw many people off, as the rhythm doesn't make it easy to sit in a pocket, head banging to 4/4. Man that change midway through, it packs a punch. Lots of energy there once you get familiar with the track enough to shift when they shift and not get caught wondering where the beat is and losing that connectivity. Happy to see you reacting to Jinjer as you have been off my suggestions list for a while now. Here is to hoping you and yours are doing well

"Hate" is a strong word. I'd agree that there's no "hook", but that's not uncommon for Jinjer. Are you a Jinjer fan? I'd say the lyrics are mediocre by Jinjer standards. At first, I found the melodic lines too meandering, but they've grown on me quite a bit, and I like the instrumentals quite a bit. Overall, I rank it pretty much middle of the pack among Jinjer songs...but that may change in time.
