It takes years of training to develop the sound so that you can manipulate it to be just as flexible as your speaking or singing voice(this is true for any skill), however, most people could probably pick up the technique to just be able to do it in a week or so if they're dedicated and have some kind of guide, of which there are many online. I'm saying this from experience. If anyone is interested in messing with their voice and how it sounds there are generally just two major rules. First: stay hydrated; keeping everything wet will help with your flexibility(think about trying to speak with a dry throat) and, by extension, your ability to learn and develop. Second: if it hurts, don't do it; nothing about the proper technique should cause any pain or discomfort. If what you're trying makes it feel like there's sandpaper in the back of your throat you need to take a break and change something.

yeah, supposedly pisces are kinda bipolar and free spirited people. impulsive and passionate. truthful and open but unreliable since they tend to follow their feelings to a fault. not much for horoscope stuff myself but wanted to understand the song so did a bit of research.
Cory Cooper im Pisces and wow never thought, not gonna lie but I’m pretty like that, as well when u think about it as a Pisces it’s like not common, like underrated, not much into these things but that’s pretty interesting, Jinjer really did good in this song I love it
Hehe, I guess I looked a *bit* surprised myself when I heard that one for the first time. And that is after I listened to quite a bit of black/death metal in my life. Now reaction videos to "Pisces" are among my favorite RU-vid fare :)
Loosk to me like she is holding back... I am the same way, just don't have the facial tics. She is definitely getting something twitching the feels from this dichotomy of the voice disparity. Who wouldn't ... can't be! Can it? Yes it can and is. So don't blame her here, but I am not wrong about her 'tells' (Terrible poker player she'll make) ;) She twists her mouth to the right (hers) when she is trying to suppress enjoyment on the surface (trying not to smile reaction in general), but does very little to hide that if you know what you are looking for, the left drift is thought about the very same thing (eye position and dilation changes). The central pucker/pout is indecision or disbelief (also eye formation driven as supporting characteristic). This is standard facial reaction-recognition by and large, I know what you're thinking, but I'd say 85% of the time just by your facial expression/body language alone is identifiable/predictable. Not perfect, but a lot of it has borne out to be pretty accurate. (see Profilers and/or interrogation + facial analysis) Still love her reactions and your enjoyment of them, hope it has been a boon in being more closely knit with your daughter. You will lose that window shortly unfortunately, not her fault or yours, just is as she grows. You'll get it back if you don't botch it, just gonna take a few years. I am sure you already got a dose of that with your older son, know this though, the daughter is a whole different thing. So, good luck to you and yours, sit back and listen and be Dad as best as you can and you will always have her heart and respect. ;)
Tatiana is the best female with those vocals. I was impressed with bands like Arch Enemy with female growling vocals until I heard Jinjer about a year ago
I don't think that Tatiana is the best, she is awesome, but I hear some other brutal kick ass female singers that aren't so famous because of the subgenre, but that they are awesome too.
She didn't have training as in being teached, she probably trained for at least months for singing like that, I myself have tried doing false cond for two months and just now am sounding somewhat good and haven't even started on fry screaming
Not like any have heard a demon before ... they could have light feathery voices for all we know, if they actualy existed ... which i doubt very much :P

RU-vid insisted I watch one of these Jinjer reactions. I got sick of seeing it every time I scrolled down my recommended list so I finally clicked on it. After the first reaction I didn't like the growling at all but watched one reaction after the other for the laughs. This song totally grew on me. I now own 4 Jinjer albums and absolutely love them all. Her amazing voice and the whole band is just so talented. I've been branching out into different bands with the growling and I'm really loving it!

Thanks for sharing, I think I made a similar breakthrough with my daughter yesterday on a video we did where she made mention how she liked the long guitar intro on a song, and about 2 months ago, she mentioned how much she did NOT like that, soooo progress? Maybe? Lol, we'll see, she is tough.
I agree with the idea, but I personally think Mikael is in a different league. When your live performances are better than studio, it's pretty magnificent. And nobody @ me about this being a live session. That doesn't mean it is raw. That just means the whole band got together to record this all in one take, rather than recording pieces at a time separately and then splicing them together.
It is about her life through the lens of her Pisces sun sign, especially focusing on the dualism symbolized by the two fish singing in opposite directions (for example the chorus "scale armor belies virgin innocence, one being brings life the other runs for death"). Her chronic depression and longing for connection on one hand, her pain, anger and self-destructive urges on the other.
I REALLY love Vlad, Jinjer's drummer. The band re-recorded this older song specifically to do a new version with him. The band gets so overlooked because Tatiana shocks everybody.

I can't tell you how much I owe you for several of your videos, as I've been introduced to Jinjer, Babymetal and Ghost through you and have been to all three of them, and Jinjer five times. Guitar X very true, though there are some ways you can learn quicker, but other than that it is a very difficult technique, it’s talent, while many people think it’s just screaming
Vocal fry imo is the easiest to learn cause it's basicly a stepping stone for every other form (save for inhales) Inhale growls and screams are the hardest I'd say

I have watched so many of your videos with your daughter so far and this is the first time I see more than a weird grin or half smile in terms of emotions. Not trying to be mean by the way, I love how you keep trying to get her to appreciate metal. But really, this is priceless.

Love her reaction. My 4 year old daughter loves this song. Every time we take a little trip to the store or where ever she wants to hear it and sings along.
The chorus (one being brings life, the other runs for death) and the way the song is laid out speaks volumes of what a Pisces is known for, the two fish are the symbol, they are known for split personality, as well the light and the dark, or the ying and the yang, great song and yep threw me the first time I heard it her vocal fry is amazing it's like listening to a princess turn to exorcist and back again lol
It's her real voice. no pedals or vocal manipulation at all. Check out unleash the archers- tonight we ride. I think she would like that one and it's an amazing song. Definitely worth checking out. Plus it's a song that hasn't really been reacted to much.
Ah well not all 13yro old feel the appeal of metal. I myself din't got draw to metal before i was 15, before that i could'nt comprehend what was so cool about metal outside the guitars riffs, but its either a learning process, or simply a change in tastes as you grow up. Now there isnt a day in my life where i don't listen to it.

Yes, it is! Watch (almost) any of their other songs and you will realize it really is her! There are few songs of theirs on the internet where she only does clean vocals. She's one of the best growlers on the planet! She should have several awards for her skill and versatility. :)
You should get her to react to ANY GIVEN DAY - Savior; they are a German metalcore band and the singers vocals are almost as bi-polar as Tatiana's! \m/
