The evidence I have heard people use is Shaytaan will say on the day of judgment 'I didn't make you do anything I just influenced you and you did the bad deed of your own accord'. They use this evidence to say, if the Shaytaan, the biggest and most evil jinn, can't make you do anything then how can jinn? Therefore possession doesn't exist. The evidence you used for jinn possession that 'Shaytaan runs through you, like blood runs through your vains' they claim is in reference to influence as opposed to possession. And Allah knows best. But that is the evidence I have heard them use, it's not that they don't believe or have weak iman or find it hard to wrap their minds around.
