Hey brother!. I have cleared neet this year.i am not a jipmer krkl student. I would be answering you based on some seniors' experience and faculty's advice. Just imagine, if you want to admit in a hospital and you visited pondicherry. Which hospital would you prefer? Jipmer pondicherry, which is well established and has made a mark all over india Or jipmer karaikal , which is established in 2016 and yet to create it's impact? Secondly, connectivity. Pondicherry railway station is just 5.6km(15min drive) from jipmer pondi and 131km (3hr plus drive) from jipmer krkl. Everytime you want to go to your hometown during holidays you would feel hectic and frustrated. (Personal opinion though) Thirdly karaikal is a village. If you are from a city, you will definitely have to adjust to the environment there. Yet, jipmer krkl is also preferred by many students. Why?? 1. Might be a resident of Tamilnadu Or Pondicherry. (Connectivity would not be a problem then) 2. The internal pg quota offered by jipmer (both pondi and krkl) 3. The prestigious jipmer tag This is not to demean any college. It's your personal opinion if you want to join or not. I would strongly suggest you to join this college if you are from tamil nadu. Yes, jipmer karaikal too will grow like jipmer Pondicherry one day but sadly we might not experience that one day as a student of the prestigious institution. ~peace✌
