"The true measure of a shinobi is not how he lives, but how he dies." -Jiraiya of the Legendary Sannin, the Toad Sage of Mount Myoboku, and godfather of Uzumaki Naruto. Thanks for the memories, Pervy Sage.
-Jiraiya of the Legendary Sannin, the Toad Sage of Mt Myoboku, godfather of Uzumaki Naruto, Student of the 3rd Hokage, Teacher of the 4th & 7th Hokages, Team mate of and old friend to the 5th Hokage, source of inspiration and relief to the 6th Hokage (heh), succesful author of widely renowned series of "novels" & of course self proclaimed Super Pervert
As someone who also made a Jiraiya track I cannot begin to articulate how happy I am to see you do a song about Jiraiya as if he were talking to Naruto. I had nothing but chills and teary eyes the entire time. Seriously amazing anthem!
My fave character legit His arsenal, his behaviour( when he isn’t thinking about girls) , his dream, his goofiness, his past Everything about him is awesome
@@klacier2917 Not all are perverted, the ones that are add a bit of a different take on the human aspect of characters whether it be for humor or to hide a deeper trauma for a later reveal.
This feels so much like everything Jiraiya ever wanted to say to his boy, an attempt to make Naruto understand just how *proud* Jiraiya is of him and it makes me tear up a bit every time.
This is much more of a Jiraiya song than anyone I've ever heard before. He's singing for his student who surpassed all the others and achieved his dreams. Divide Music, it's enough just stop. You're way too good at this, everyone needs time to catch up.
My favorite thing about this song is that it isn’t a Jiraiya song or a song about Jiraiya, in fact it feels like a song about Naruto or better yet a song to Naruto from Jiraiya like a message. And its the most Jiraiya thing ever since Jiraiya used to like writting alot and this feel like a last message to Naruto.
This song represents to me a song from father to son, mentor to student, family to family, so on and so forth. This near brought me to tears and it hits so differently than so many others I've listened to. To those of you who listened in and are having a hard day. Always remember stand tall in the face of adversity my friends.
Exactly It's why I ADORE divide, im not a huge anime fan , never watched a single Episode of Naruto, but his songs absolutely transcend the Shows they are inspired by.
So many tribute songs could be described as boastful, they're about why the tributed character is amazing. This? This is Jiraiya continuing to teach and mentor the next generation. That makes it so much more powerful
Just when I thought Divide couldn’t diversify his music anymore, he goes and proves me wrong. This is an absolutely incredible song that does Jiraiya justice. Even in death, he’s still guiding Naruto.
Lyrics: You don't wanna take the road less traveled, do you, son? You just wanna be the kind who's known by everyone Hear me, I can see something deep inside you Potential leading the thousands right on through But you have to heed my words, practice them Learn consequence and discipline Grow to be the person that you dream on Let them hear you roar, roar Shout it from the top of your lungs Let them hear you roar, roar Prove that you're the only one That could take the challenge Become the one they call You must find the balance To catch yourself if you fall I've seen war, I've seen death Traveled the world in search for this A fate still undecided But from my journey to the truth In my final attempt I write these words to you My friend Now that you have heard my words, practiced them Learned consequence and discipline You've become the person that I've dreamed of Now let them hear you roar, roar Shout it from the top of your lungs Let them hear you roar, roar Prove that you're the only one Let them hear you roar, roar Shout it from the top of your lungs Let them hear you roar, roar Prove that you're the only one That could take the challenge Become the one they call You have found the balance To catch yourself if you fall You can take the challenge Become the one they call You have found the balance And proudly, you stand tall
This song is a teacher to a student, father to a son, one generation to the next. Its the moment when you realise they picked up your torch just as you were about to give up and continued with it forward. Beautiful song and hella inspiring
I love how despite being Jiraiya's song, and being from his perspective, the song is actually about Naruto. It really shows how much faith Jiraiya had in his student and how he passed his dream of peace to Naruto.
"You must find the balance, to catch yourself if you fall" - divide music Uniting our spirits with this one. Great quote and mv thats a true tribute to the legendary ninja.
Please never stop making music this is by far the best song I’ve ever heard not only in the anime centered rap but across all spectrums, seriously thank you for being so creative!
When you hit that high notes I can't close my mouth. Text is amazing and very inspiring. When I hear Roar I just wanna screem along. This is the best song so far. Just one word- Masterpiece!
I love it. At first he talks to kid Naruto "Do you son?" Later he talkes about the grown Naruto and talks to him like an equal "my friend" this was genius. Love your songs, they touch my feelings everytime. Btw it would be awesome if you could make a decent song about Obito. I know there is one but if I remembered right was it just a numb cover, but a splended one!
I can't get over the fact that up until the final chorus, it almost sounds like the lyrics are "prove that you're the only one that can take the damage", with Naruto being Kurama's Jinchuuriki, he really was the only one who could take the damage, but also take the challenge. I love this song so much
I listened to this about twenty times now and it just keeps getting better. I love the perspective for this how he is giving his last advice to Naruto and then saying how proud he is of the man he became. Truly a work of art for a great man.
Bruh, I got literal chills. Not only does this fit beautifully with Naruto's journey. But I can imagine this being played in a top animation movie or even a stadium. Gosh I would love to be in that crowd. ❤❤❤
I’m in tears 😭 it’s perfect no matter how many times I hear it It’s his song but ... that’s what his life was about , it was so his god son could become hokage 🥺❤️❤️❤️
This made me cry. Really made me think of my mom before she passed. Hoping she would be proud of the man I became. This was the first time I heard this song and I just wanted to thank you.
This song is so inspiring, even without all the naruto stuff this song could inspire anyone to stand tall. This is a good song to listen to if you feel down. A total masterpiece.
This song is beautiful. I am a 34-year-old man. I haven't watched Naruto in years, and this still had me in tears. Hearing this, I remember why I love anime. It's a journey, and the writers bring you along for the ride. In this song, we experience all of the pain, the joy, the pride, and the love that Jiraiya feels for Naruto. That is a difficult and powerful feeling to convey, but you did so perfectly. Divide, my hat is off to you. Truly. This song is incredible. Sorry, I'm going to go sit for a while and calm down.
Your songs always give me a strange sense of nostalgia like your style of music is a forgotten/neglected art. This was epic man keep being you you're the only one who can🔥🔥🔥
He did become the one that they called, and he showed up every time bringing is brother Kurama to the fight. You both shall be missed Jiraiya and Kurama. 💪
Though it was going to be a chain-gang vibe song about his struggles. What we got was so much more. Once more, you have created a masterpiece. Keep up the work
Bro... That "Shout it from the top of your lungs" gave me the same chills as when you hit those Chi-Chi level Highs, while still getting me as hype as when Fabvl screams... HOW ?
Divide this song hits me hard man. Its a masterpiece and reminds my of my uncle John. He was also the one who taught my martial arts. But most importantly he was the only father figure I had for a long time and listening to this just reminds me of how much he always had my back and helped me become who I am today. So I thank you for something that brings such good memories
