Alex's win wasn't emphatic, they technically were very close (visually, you could see Alex's dominance emerging, less gassed out, TD threat diminished, damage done that was going to keep working against Jan (leg in particular) and neither got wobbled. Jan definitely should still be in the mix. And at 40... he hasn't lost much at all. Especially his fight IQ. So split decision loss in 3 rounds, in Utah... sure, Alex is first in line, but Jan shouldn't be relegated to the back of the queue.

The UFC seems to have an issue with Jan as 205 Champ. I can see Jiri vs Alex for the belt next. If it was already Alex and Jiri...the belt wouldve been involved. This is the second time the UFC has shown this to Jan. He shoukd keave this organization. The fact they dont want you as Champ means youre journey is gonna be even harder. That man wants that again when his promoter is like nah. Its foul. They should've fought for that belt. But Jan shiukd go where he can have that opportunity. This isnt fair to him
