JJ Grey & Mofro performing "Lochloosa" at Freebird Live in Jacksonville Beach, Florida on January 2, 2010 Video: Panasonic PV-GS500 (x2) Audio: AKG 483 / Oade Concert Mod R-44 Recorded & Produced by Scott Douglas
I was at this show, and I sang I worked with them on Tuesday. They were great! He was supposed to play 60-75 minutes.. he played 30 minutes more. I am as Floridian as they come. He speaks to me and some of my dearest fans.
I was lucky enough to see this cat at the Freebird when I lived in Jax Beach (and many other places since). Sadly it closed down not too long ago, but I'd pay see JJ if he was doing a show under an interstate overpass. Amazing talent, genuine and raw, pure southern soul. Long live JJ Grey.
Amen! He is something else, his music is wonderful.I was at the Free Bird on this night.I was born and raised about 20 miles from him in Jacksonville,Florida
Great description ! I tried myself. It's so rich, there's so much there... and Lord I love that southern raspy drawl...! It's southern it's Blues, it's Rock, it's Gospel...soul. Rhythm and Blues, I really love it. I'd pay to see them !🎵
You know that a song really touches you when you sit at home, watch a video of a live performance, the crowd starts to sing - and you immediately begin to sing along. That's what just right now happened.... 'homesick but it's alright, Lochloosa is on my mind'
Makes me a little teary eyed. What a special artist and group this is. I'd give my left leg to have been here. He sings WITH the crowd. He plays off the energy and almost backs up the crowd's lead singing. I love this guys passion and indisputable talent. Most underrated music group of the last 20 years.
What a awesome group of individuals that got to sing at the hall at Little Rock.I surely enjoyed them.Got to make a couple of them what a blessed thing got the playlist.Got a little pic from my God.God bless me.God bless us what a good concert
I've seen him at Wanee 3 times, he's the shit. He's to Florida as Bob Seger is to Michigan, Bruce is to NJ. If you live here, his music wraps it's arms around your soul and fills you with warmth.
Badass! One of my favorite songs! I grew up in the swamps of Louisiana! It will always be my place! Thank you for that song man. Wished I could spend my everyday there from now on.
Man that's great 👍 I've got the harp, all the way through ! That's fun ! It's coming to me natural ! The lyrics, the song, the horns, the piano,... there's congas right ? It's a build-up take you along song...as each talent, just gets greater, building through the song ! Each so well complimenting each other... and the raspy blues drawl...vocals, delivered with soulfulness ! It's a brilliant composition ! A work of Art-Blues-Rock 🎵 Painting the picture ! Delivering it the music 🎶 This cut, is a concert, by itself. You don't need a set list ! This composition...90 minutes easy, each mic time extended, extended solos of each talent, showing that strength... each instrument, it's what..8 minute feature, building, then come together, all in their separate excellence, join to complete and deliver the message. Their Jam, is great 👍. That was fun. 🤟🎶
I think you should add the 2024 at the hall at Little Rock Arkansas and I got to meet a couple of you.I stood right in front of me.Could touch you what a awesome concert?Good people around us
Why would anyone call this man a phoney? He's talkin about where HE comes from, nothin taken away from no one else. Ya know, the ole kettle... Peace y'all

Well. If this guy would take the helm of that pirate ship called the College Football Playoff group. Florida State would be the 4th team. They earned that recognition and everyone would know this Man
