Man I believe in JJ F what the haters and negative ass ppl talking about, That dude is smart and lives a breathes basketball, He has the LA attitude and he’s confident and he accepts the challenge and PRESSURE, Let’s go JJ!!
Yeah we just have a bunch of babies in our fanbase that ain’t satisfied no matter what even if we win a championship they will say it don’t count lol you can’t reason with those types of people don’t bother JJ will be fine I believe in him and love his attitude!
Well said, Jovan! Coach Reddick absolutely crushed it with intelligence and charisma no doubt. Statement of the introduction interview: Coach Reddick,"I'm going to use math!" Coach Phil Jackson 2.0 perhaps.
J's 5 big strengths are 1) communication skills - having played at a very high level for 15 years he identifies with & understands from the player's point of view. Players will connect more easily with him, knowing he speaks from playing experience. 2) Basketball IQ & analytics & a love of the game. JJ takes this seriously which is essential for optimum usage of players in the right schemes. 3) JJ is flexible using different players and schemes for different situations. He will not try to impose inappropriate schemes that confuse and weaken the team effort. 4) Management of time-outs. As a recently retired ex player, JJ is well aware of pace and momentum in a game and when a time-out is necessary. I believe his management of time-outs will be good. 5) 3 point shooting. JJ admits he was not blessed with natural talent but worked very hard on his shooting. He achieved a career average of 41.5% in 3 pointers. JJ will be excellent in developing & guiding the Laker's 3 point shooting. He will guide them to practice the correct way. - mechanics and situation.
On the Hawks, Trae Young can shine -- because it's the east and he is their first choice on offense with about 18 shots per game. On the Lakers, he'd be demoted to a third or 4th option on the offense. Also, LBJ likes to control the ball so Trae will be less productive as a PG. Lastly, at 6'1 and 164 lbs., Trae is a tad small and light for being an NBA guard for the West and he could be a defensive liability in many matchups.
@@rafaelrivas5760 they’ll keep us on our toes per usual. I was a fan of JJ before hand, I’m excited, he ducked no question and will bring some smarts to our group but a dawg at the coach level as well. I think we make a few marginal moves and take off.
Also… has anyone noticed on how no one has talked about JJ’s shooting, our team has been trash at 3s for forever lol he should be able to help team mechanics…. Also public enemy #1 at duke so he knows how to handle it and knows it’s lakers vs everybody. Laker Nation we ride 😤😤😤
I’m a 83 yr. old female Laker fan since 1962. I do not curse, but I liked the F Bomb because it was a stupid question. I was really sick of Ham and his hearts and flowers rhyming phrases. I think that set the tone JJ ability to communicate his honest feelings.
Absolutely clear 2 reasons why Ham was fired was " player development " and "attention to detail".... The difference is worth atleast 5 wins if our stars remain healthy thru the season ..
100 percent right. "Player development" is a response to Max Christie's exit interview. Attention to detail means running a lot more set offense with movement (so AD, aka The Hub, "knows what they are doing"), stopping most of the brain dead, sloppy turnovers, and paying freaking attention to guarding the 3 point line. The "we're going to use math" comment was all about the analytics and the math problem from 3 that the Lakers lost most of the time. I'm excited. Let's go!
I like that they are emphasizing young core but they can’t say they need longer, athletic two way players and want to trade Vando. He’s their best perimeter and on ball defender. Too value to trade. I want to keep Rui and Vando but if you have to choose, pick Vando. Ultimately they can still make a good trade without either if DLo opts in
The F-bomb was by design. JJ doesn't do anything by design. It was his disdain of not caring what oursiders think about his experience . Caring only about the team & players.
They're digging themselves out of the Westbrook trade and letting Caruso walk. Seems like people forget aside from trading KCP and Kuzma, I think they traded at least two unprotected number one pick.
BTW, the comment about being 29th in the league in offensive rebounding and getting better by crashing from the corners is analytics too. So many times AD was on the floor under the basket and the guys in the corners are in no man's land, so expecting them to get back in transition is a losing proposition. You are better off stopping transition by getting more offensive rebounds. Think Aaron Gordon killing the Lakers with second chance points from the dunker's spot or the corner. Again, it's math.
The road from words to action is a short road. let's see if those words manifest in winning action. Nothing was said about JJ's ability, if he has it, to devise strategies and plays as the demand for them present themselves in tight win or lose situations which Ham apparently did not have much of. Find out the reasons for so many serious injuries and correct them.
I look forward to seeing what he can do i will say so far he looks like he will be a bit on the analytics side type of coaching which is fine if he does not go all in on that but i will say he was definitely prepared. Hes definitely not a hands in pockets type of coach 😂
Pekinka throwing in a bunch of excuses of why it's harder to trade now and lowering everybody's expectations is crazy. Last year they blew it at the deadline and didn't do SHIT when they should of. And been telling us all summer hey we got 3 picks now we're really going to make moves next year and hear we are doing nothing 😭😭🤣🤦
BuHa. You had a chance to interview Kurt Rambis and missed. BooHa. See if you can find out which Lakers wouldn't answer the phone. Buha. Coach JJ will make Reaves a 3rd star.
😂lets not forget how well Darvin spoke at his press conference. Darvin had a resume and titles under his belt..wcf appearance and stll got discarded in 2 yrs😊
Dude honestly, if the Lakers draft any big other than edey I am going to be pissed. It's been THREE YEARS that we have ALL KNOWN the Lakers need a true PHYSICAL BIG to guard guys like joker and embiid. Everybody they mention of drafting as a big are ALL SMALLER THAN A.D. it's literally pointless and they are going to whiff once again smfh
lol JJ Reddick got the job only because he's a good buddy of LeBron James. He's just another Tyron Lue for LBJ. "Sit yo ass down, pick up the check, while I run the show!"
Crazy thought of the century. Laker draft Bronny. Bronny starts to check into games. The Adrinnolen & Euphoria from LeBron, Bronny and JJ push us to next year's chip win against the Celtics, LeBron retires passes torch to Bronny not AD.
What are you talking about ??? 🤯 I'm a LeBron fan and I'm rooting for Bronny, but what you're saying just doesn't make sense and is so much over the top. 🙄
So a team that has won a chip, been to the western conference finals, won the in season tournament, and lost in the first rd to the last year's champ aren't trying to win, and you can't change injuries, plus there are other teams that are after the same players that they are with more cap space that haven't done much at all.
@RJ_Uploads IST Champs? Are u serious bruh! That goes to show u how, far lakers expectations have fallen. WCF means nothing. The fact u had to say that speaks, how far lakers have fallen
@@gregorybrown5419 well unfortunately that's the mindset of most teams, and Lakers are hanging that on chips from the 70s 80s when they won a lot then in the Kobe and stint, other teams have gotten better and the game has changed but I will just be patient and wait and see what happens.
All your best drafted players were much better after they left your team. Yet you keep bringing them up, make it make sense dude. Five takeaways and non are remotely critical just straight BIASED media, what else should you expect from this guy. ❤
