You love the P90 tone and you would like it in your Strat. What you don't want is two or three awkward looking soapbar pickups on the guard. You would rather retain the classic Strat look but still have P90 tone. Well folks, here's the solution: S-90 Simulcaster Pickups by JJ's Guitar Pickups. Ben wound these guys for me and sent me a beautifully loaded guard and he can do that for you too if you wish. The sound? You be the judge. I love them. They give me the extra punch, snarly mids and grainy quality that are common qualities of P90's, but now they're on a Strat where the ergonomics are different to, say, a Les Paul Junior or Special, and the combination is fantastic.
