3) AU :
-Giyuu is Megumi's older (half) brother (*Giyuu 21yo and Megumi 15/16yo)
-Tsumiki or Tsutako don't exist (unfortunately) in this AU. It's only Giyuu and Megumi.
Giyuu met Sabito and trained with him under Urokodaki 🌊✨️🗡He used to come home and tell Megumi about demon slayers, demons, Hashiras, etc. That is why Megumi knows so much despite being a jujutsu sorcerer💡
Megumi got a couple of opportunities to meet Sabito. The latter quickly grew a liking to the little urchin 💚🧡
When Giyuu turned 13, he came less and less home and spent more time with Sabito🫂
Megumi didn't understand why, but soon enough, Gojo came, and he had to deal with him. Giyuu and Gojo never met. Megumi never mentioned Giyuu/having an older brother to Gojo.
When Giyuu visited, Megumi didn't want to talk about his sale or Gojo or sorcerers. He preferred to listen to Giyuu talk about Sabito and his training and not burden him with his problems. 🌊🧡✨️💚🗡
Then came the final selection.
Here comes the big misunderstanding⚠️
Megumi's pov💭 : He received a letter declaring Giyuu's and Sabito's deaths. He found it a bit odd that a letter was sent and not a crow (how Giyuu/Sabito communicates with him normally)🐦✉️
Despite being devastated, Megumi said nothing to Gojo (or anyone for that matter). When he learned that Giyuu survived ("in this video"), his first reaction was to think Giyuu lied to him, which we know isn't the case.
Giyuu's pov💭 : Sabito died, and Giyuu was left with survival guilt. He grieved and trained and eventually sent a crow to Megumi explaining the whole situation and what happened during the final selection. He received no answer back 💬❓️
Giyuu thought Megumi cut strings with him because he was disgusted and angry with Giyuu and Sabito's death (which we know isn't the case (Megumi's pov)). Giyuu didn't try to reach Megumi a 2nd time.
Now you may ask, "Then who said that letter ? Why didn't Megumi send the letter back with an answer ?":
The crow never reached Megumi. Someone killed it. The other people aware of Giyuu are the Zenins. So they sabotaged everything. Why ? Maybe they were afraid Megumi would join the demon slayer training, and they won't see him again. They definitely want Megumi, with a technique that powerful, to become a jujutsu sorcerer.
Other questions you might ask yourself... 💡💭
What are demons in this AU ? : they are a type of curse that die in the sun or when their head is cut off with a nichirin blade. 🗡✨️
Demons slayers (hahsiras, corps...) are a secret organization, like jujustu sorcerers. Megumi is lucky Giyuu told him bits of his world.
Breathing styles/cursed techniques ? : they are different fighting styles. Some are born with cursed techniques, and some aren't. Some manage to become known and powerful demon slayers, and some don't (they don't need a cursed technique to become a Hashira/demon slayer).
