Now that I think about it, what if Yuji's technique is cursed spirit manipulation? the only spirits he's killed where some of the death womb paintings but he consumed those to get blood manipulation Hell that explains why Kenjaku came to kill Mahito before Yuji did, because that would mean Yuji could've had Mahito under his command
