I have the Utogther Goshawk branded one of this that I bought from ebay, wanted to test it for the flight time, which is pretty decent... this is the year of optical flow, GPS and big lipos in these small toy grade quads and extended flight times like this one. Good review Ryan
If I wanted to fly this drone at a fixed altitude, would this drone be adequate? Or do you recommend one with GPS? Would need to maintain a certain altitude +/- 1 foot, about 5-7 feet above ground. Some small drones I tested tend to lose/gain altitude when flying them around.
This will work but the camera is toy grade and it won't hold position just altitude. You are much better off with a GPS drone because most of them have excellent cameras and they'll hold position within inches.

And in case I'm not explaining well... When I say I need it to fly within 5-7 feet above ground, I mean fly at that altitude, not hold a position at that altitude.
It can do that though it may will not hold altitude was accurate as an expensive GPS drone that uses powerful flight controllers and a good barometer and sonar.

Hi everyone !! Guys please help... New drone , all works good, but no connection to App on smartphone. Camera is connected to the drone over the little cable. When open app on the phone and press " CONNECT" button nothing happens. Any solutions please?

Worked n ran businesses over 60 years n I'm in a shack on social security now knocking on 80. Not a neighbor in site for nearly 30 miles in a 360 pan. @@RDsRCReviews I have line of site of a cluster of 5 cell towers 8 mines north of me out my front window on another mountain top. It's dismall. I have to go down the mountain to a little community in the valley for wifi to download or update anything on my cell. These drones depend on wifi for their apps so guess they want everyone to move into town for closer observation under more cameras. Haha
Depends on what you want in terms of quality but you'll need a better drone than the H68. You'll need one with a stabilized gimbal. The Hubsan Zino is an excellent choice. If interested I can hook you up with a Zino for $250
@@surfininmy40s unfortunately there are no good options under $250 unless you can find a used DJI Spark. The toy cameras are just too poor to really good photos.
That's unfortunate. Have you tried calibrating the gyro? Also try flying it without connecting to the Wi-Fi fpv or even better unplug and remove the camera altogether.
It can't lift much because it is small and has brushed motors. It might be able to carry a runcam but it won't fly long and you'll put a lot of strain on the motors. A 808 keychain camera would be better.
The 5ghz wifi hotspot fpv turned out to suck. The camera is 1080p and it looks great, though no image stabilization. I just don't have any effing phone that can connect to a 5ghz wifi hotspot. I ended up having to buy a TX-05, glue it and a 1s battery to the top for my FPV camera, and fly with a pair of FPV mini goggles. You need the phone app to turn the 100m limit off, which sucks... but you can blow past it by switching OFF the GPS function on the controller. Kind of defeats the purpose of having an emergency return to home button though. I guess you could quickly switch it back on? If it is on and limited by 100m, it will stop at the edge of its range up or out, and go no further, unless you turn it around and head back to you. I blew a motor out and bent another axle... had to order some new motors off ebay and prop guards. Probably the best thing about this drone is it has GPS/acellerometer stabilization, and will hold to a GPS position even in wind, which is great for a beginner and makes it way easier to fly. Probably the absolute biggest thing that sucks ass about this drone is it does Level mode only. NO ACRO MODE. Which makes it a piece of shit to fly for an expert. A good first drone, if you have a phone that can do 5ghz wifi, but I can't imagine using your phone with the horrible latency to fly FPV with... that sucks. I flew mine at first almost entirely via line of sight with the GPS switch on, and speed set to low. Now that I've modified it with an analog camera on top and seperate analog transmiter (TX-05), I fly it with GPS off and speed set to high. I would buy this only for an absolute beginner to introduce them to the hobby. It at least gets them past the oceans of crap beginner drones that have no GPS feature at all and those are impossible to control and very drifty in the wind. So I guess it has it's niche as an introduction drone to a person into the hobby. You'll quickly outgrow it, and it will not be adequate if you practice all the time in Liftoff. My advice to a complete noobie with this drone, is get yourself a microsd card reader, and use this like a hot air balloon to get the smoothest best videos. Switch the GPS lock on, and go straight up to it's default noobie range limit. Then very slowly with the yaw stick pan around. Pause at interesting directions and hold for 10-15 seconds, then continue. Then come straight down. If you come down too fast it will wobble a lot. Definitely not safe for your fingers but, my best way to land was to catch it out of the air when hovering in front of me with my hands and flip it upside down, but then I didn't know you could disarm the motors by doing the same motion on the sticks as arming them. I was getting a lot of prop damage trying to land on the ground and it tipping over or sliding around or just hitting weeds.

I am an outspoken anti-drone campaigner, not because I hate drones but because I hate that there's so much unregulated flying happening, I've had an encounter in flight (aviation) with a drone which set me off on this path but as a life long fixed wing hobbyist I never liked them...but this morning I was given one of these brand new and I am starting to think of how I can harvest it for parts for my park flyers or worst case use it for the security of the property at night, the irony of that may prevent me from actually doing it. I am sure the package includes info on which app to use but just a quick look on the App store brings up a number of JJRC drone apps, which one applies to this drone?
Because I don't close my pool. I open it myself but I don't trust closing it and having something freeze or a pipe bust so it was scheduled to close Wed and yesterday was the last hot day. It'll be in the low 70's the next week. The average high is only 78. With days being shorter and nights longer it is hard to keep the pool warm past mid Sept without messing with the solar cover which is a pain in the ass to put on and off so there's the long answer why. Lol
I'm not sure. I don't try to fly toys very far because if it loses signal it'll either fall out of the sky or fly away. It should be fine to go 100m but the Wi-Fi fpv may not go that far.

@@caltrof you can buy a replacement camera for sure but if you don't need to use the Wi-Fi fpv then you will get much better video using a small Runcam/Q6 camera attracted to the bottom.
You need a 5ghz wifi capable phone for FPV, and even so, FPV is unflyable like all other phone drones. Flying LOS - GPS lock works and is nice against wind. DJI knockoff Controller is decent feel but don't count on range. Prop axles bend easily and brushed motors break easily if you eat a tree. Flyable lightweight without camera, legs, or prop guards. 1080 camera is sharp but no motion stabilization at all... to get good video you have to hold it dead still in air. Best used like hot air balloon to go straight up with GPS holding you in position against wind, and slowly pan around for video. Worst feature and deal breaker -- no indicator if your recording or not, will lose your video file if you don't stop recording before shutting it off, and worst of all ... quad is Angle mode only. I hot glued a FPV camera to the top with 1s battery and flew it around FPV once or twice before I ate a tree, bent axles and killed a motor. New motors from China came with wrong axle size :-/ There's two motor versions even after that, depending on wire color as well (red/blue - black/white), reverse and forward versions of motor. All and al a good low cost introductory drone, but you're better off skipping it and just buying a copy of Liftoff and controller. You're better off going to Rotorbuilds.com and building a real carbon frame quad. All in one RTF consumer drones that use your phone for FPV and include a transmitter are universally garbage. I've never tested any of them that were anything but. fpv.air-war.org
This of a toy GPS drone that is nothing light the drones in liftoff. Liftoff of meant to teach one how to you FPV and Acro flight. The T25 is a really poor drone with a very short flight time and an awful camera. The D58 is a much better choice. Thanks for watching!
