When the bms is turned off and I probe the battery positive and bms “P - (minus)“ shouldn’t it read 0 volts? I’m reading 12v which doesn’t make sense because it’s turned off 🤔
I will be running a 24 volt system, I want to run 16 3.2volt cells configured to 24 volts, I have two of these batteries.. a total of 32 cells. the cells are rated at 280 ah. My MPPT is a 250/80 viltron unit. and I am running 4-540 watt solar panels on the roof of my motorhome. My inverter charger is a viltron 3000/24/70. I am trying to figure out which JK BMS I should run on each of these batteries.

I have 2 Jk bms in my system and think they're great. The only feature I wish they had was current limiting when the cells are near full charge so you can charge slowly while balancing instead of it having one cell hit your set voltage and fully stopping charging even though other cells will accept more.
Sounds as though you pack is significantly out of balance, so to reduce the likelihood of a fully charged runaway cell tripping BMS over cell voltage (3.65v) reduce your charger pack voltage ~14V and check that balancing is activated. Now leave battery balancing and watch delta V reduce from 100-200mV and once delta V is
Hi, I have 16 cells running in parallel pairs of two (like you have 8 cells here running as 4 cells to 12v). The total voltage is 24v for my system. Should I connect each BMS wire to each cell or each parallel paired cell like you have in this video? What happens if you get a rogue cell that affects the pair? Thanks
Hello! For the layout of the BMS and most BMS's, the balance wire is only able to balance with "one" cell. So you'd have to connect two cells in paralell for the required setup you need. So yes for wiring up the balancing cable you'd connect it to the paired cells like in our video. Plently of our LiFePO4 batteries has this paired layout and it is able to work with eachother well in paralell together. I hope this helps
I just bought a B2A24S2OP looking at the wire size 2 8 Gauge wire how can it handle 200 amps continually. 8 AWG wire can handle 55 amps each so two in parallel would be about 120 amps not 200. This thing says it can go to 350 max can't see how this wire can do that. The video your is much heavier connections.
