Yeah the Nomad M is still my go to Steep micro creeker and the Problem with super ego is it’s about 20 years old and they are playboats with very thin hulls wont last very long.The Mixmaster is a better boat then the Ego all round river running play and its build like a modern boat very solid.With a warranty if it breaks...And I have been pushing Dagger for 2 years to do a slice boat and still nothing?So I still Paddle Dagger just nothing in the line up currently like this?
Wade Harrison Nice, I am glad to here you are pushing dagger for a slicy boat. That's Pyranha, Liquid logic and Jackson having new slicy boats now. But the two best old school slicy playboat designers (wavesport & dagger) havn't made a new one!
Making it look easy. I have my MM 7.5 on order and I can't wait. I have a Centrifuge for downriver slice and an Ego for pool play. I am hoping the MM will be an upgrade in comfort and river running capabilities. From reading the other comments it sounds like that is your thoughts on it Wade.
Yeah I felt it was a great mix of volume and width to keep the boat on the surface at the right weight. With the ability to throw it down when need to. I did not have anything to with this boat in prototype stage but the guys at JK did really good with this one.And this coming from an old school Dagger slice fan...
I have spent very limited time in Loki but from my experience in it. Pyranha took that boat as more of a down river slice boat. The Mixmaster is more of the old school slice style boat from early 2000s in a nicely updated modern package it’s FULL on slice it can run rapids but better be on top of it. The Loki is better river runner but not as good slice player as the Mixmaster. And Mixmaster is better slice than the Loki. Both can do both just one little better than the other. Best bet is try to demo or jump in one on the river and make that comparison. And decided what your wanting out a slice boat?
