J.K will be one of those authors or people we still talk and learn from like in hundreds and thousands of years. We are lucky to live in same era as her.
These books were my entire childhood/teenage years and they were also my security blanket during some really rough times. I may not agree with some of the stuff she says these days, but I will always respect the mind that created the world I was able to escape into for many, many years. I still listen to the audiobooks to this day and I'm 29. And I plan on reading them all to my children. Thank you JK for getting me through so much.
Harry Potter was the 1st book I ever read solo. I was about 5 and it had just been released in the UK. A friend of my Mom brought it back as a gift for me thinking I would grow into it. I learned to read almost instantly because I loved the 1st chapter so much and didn't want to wait for my mom to read me more. Now I am reading it with my 10 year old daughter. Love Harry Potter
I agreed to wat u said... My favvvvvvv series.... I will never get bored of Harry potter... N I will surely make my kids watch in future.... Such a superb fiction n the way she narrated the characters n the storyline is awesome... !!
RoisinV I am in the same boat. My mom went through A lot and as a child I experienced a lot with her. One day in the summer of 3rd grade my mom took me to the library and told me to pick a book. It so happen I picked HarrY Potter ST and I have been connected since. I am 29 with two kids and I will always have a love for JK Rowling and her incredible and magical writing. The books took me away from the hard times.
This is a dumb comment but her hair looks gorgeous. It really suits her. Edit: i meant JK Rowling's hair, but honestly, i could've been referring to any of them. 🙂They all look lovely.
How lucky am I to live in the same era as J.K .Rowling. I am glad she wouldn't be just an author whose name I learnt for a G.K. test. She's my childhood and I am a refugee in her magical world.
All these years, and she's still able to surprise us... I mean, Nagini... I just about lost my mind! Even though I had heard the theories before. Jo is simply a rock star. There are few authors like her nowadays!
OoOMonkeyCoFreakOoO i'm talking about aesthetic wise, personality wise, hermione, however, Lily potter seems to be modeled after JK herself on the basis of looks so
As a 8 year old kid in fell in love with the Harry Potter series, I was fortunate being young enough and still being able to grow with these characters as I became a teenager and now as I’m almost turning 27 the excitement for her and the Fantastic Beasts series is still there as if it never left. She is truly an inspiration.
Couldn't understand the hate comments and dislikes on this video at first but after watching it I gather it's mostly because of what Ezra said about the books being his bible. It's kind of a poor choice of words on his part I guess but I also find it hilarious how this still gets many ppl upset idk how you think you have a higher moral ground after this sort of blatant hate and envy but sure you do you
I disagree with you 100% MIracleMira. It wasn't a poor choice of words at all. That's how he honestly felt and he expressed it and other don't like it, well, too bad. He spoke for himself and that's absolutely fine.
It’s so wonderful to hear that Jo really loves hearing how much the Harry Potter series has and continues to affect fans. She is such an inspiration and continues to influence me to this day.
The Harry Potter world remains to this day one of the most incredible, well crafted fantasy worlds out there. The reason why it works so well is because, even though it's fiction and magic, it feels realistic. If a world like that really excted this is the way it could exist and remain hidden. It blows my mind and I'm so happy we're getting to see more of that world in other times with Fantastic Beasts.
Her books are what got me to love reading when I was a little girl. Me and my mom use to read her books together almost every night before I went to bed. Thank you JKR for sharing your wonderful books with us.
Honestly I feel blessed that I got to grow up with these books and movies. I’m the same age as Daniel and was the same age as HP in the first 4 movies or so. This is a series that bonds a whole generation of people in not just one country but a whole world. It’s truly incredible
The fact that she's down to earth inspire all that success and money is something remarkable and she also remembers her struggle is something that doesn't let her become overconfident, etc. That's why I love her so much. A very humble lady
What do you mean? The Greeks did attack Troy but it was for political reasons, not because of a woman. No one ever believed the story happened as Homer depicted it.
Some of what Homer wrote about was true.... Not only the Greeks attacking the Trojans (which is believed to get tin or copper not Helen) but the society.
Well the thing about Harry Potter is that it draws on even older stories, including the Illiad. So it is already a part of a mythology and retelling of stories.
I first read a Harry Potter book when I was 10, two years ago. Before I didn't even like Harry Potter, for example, when it had a Harry Potter movie on the TV and my mum asked me to see it I was like "Oh no, I don't like it!!" I got as a present the three first books as a present for my birthday and all I have to say is that I read the first book in one and a half hour. I read the rest of the books and then I saw the movies I think I made a good choice to first read the books and then see the movies. Now I think that when I get older I can say that Harry Potter has been my childhood.
I first read the Harry Potter books when I was nine-Ish, before that my mum was the one who forced me to read books, and even then only those with pictures. Now? I’ve probably read hundreds upon hundreds-if not a thousand-books. I read every single day without fail.
Johnny Depp is forbidden at American TV shows? Other actors walk but he does not - why? He is the main star of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald! He is a genius actor and he deserves respect. You are all hypocrites in America!
I know I’m gonna get hate for this comment, Don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait to see the movie, but.... I hope J.k Rowling doesn’t regret something bad just like some of the Harry Potter movies
What should she regret anyway? If it's about the debated topic about Nagini, she had her backstory conceived in the past. If it's about her casting choice (like Johnny Depp), people have moved on.
What? Have you even read the books . The movies weren't bad at all. Legends like Alan rickman , Gary Oldman , Maggie Smith and the so many others came under one roof to create them. They found new young talent. And I think those movies were the best graphic audio visual we potterheads could have asked for . They didn't show everything in the book and no movie ever does. Take any other franchise for that matter. But that doesn't mean the movies were bad . The only thing JK Rowling should regret is Cursed Child . She shouldn't allow a movie for that .
I wish there would have been a more substantial interview with jk rowling and actors rather than a typical NBC showing its ignorance of someone having to struggle in life. "Wait there have been people who were on food stamps attending our parties. Lock the doors. Use their stories as drama catnip for our interviews."
Philosopher's stone is the original british name, Sorcerer's stone is the american name. The story is exactly the same, but honestly I prefer Philosopher's stone.
