I like the way Dr. Komal presented the philosophy of Jeet Kune Do. You can apply the philosophy to other areas of life. Dr. Komal your husband is a lucky man, the bastard. Damm those people are rude and she stayed confident throughout.

Bruce never saw "Tao of Jeet Kune Do"! When he died they took all his notes and published the book. Bruce Lee never said, he is the first to speak this philosophy. He was a student of life, he preached self expression, liberation. JKD was his martial art expression. Get over yourselves hating on a man you know nothing about. By the way, this young lady did a great job. Love seeing other people in other countries keeping JKD alive!

Here is an example: The 1962 edition of Sports Illustrated: Book of Fencing states: "It is a constant rapid shifting of ground, seeking the slight closing of distance, which will greatly increase the chances of hitting the opponent." In his 1975 book The Tao of Jeet Kune Do, Lee wrote: "...It is a constant, rapid shifting of ground, seeking the slightest closing which will greatly increase the chances of hitting the opponent."

This was so deep…Dr Jerry Beasley tried to do the same thing.

Bruce Lee did however put together his philosophy from Wing Tsun. Which is simple; direct; effective and open minded. WingTsun is an art with no techniques. You act on instinct

The Tao of Jeet Kune Do is full of other people's work, thats a fact. Yet the Lee estate has made a lot of money off this book and has never given credit to these authors. In BL defense the Tao of JKD was just his personal reading notes and the book wasn't published until after his death. Don't take my word for it, research it.

Bruce got his philosophy from other people like Allan Watson and jiddu krishnamurti. Bruce shouldnt get the credit for other peoples work!

If he wanted it to be non traditional then perhaps "jeet kune" which is Cantonese shouldn't have been used?? Since he was a huge fan of water then perhaps the name or label should've just been "water".After all it is adaptive to all forms right???Jkd wasn't a good choice now it's become really a mix of Thai boxing Kali or escrima whatever and jujitsu.And from what I've seen everyone's a master of these days.Lectures on jkd are worthless.Walking the walk action is the answer... 👎
