this is a very good initiative ..shida sasa ni kuna mtu somewhere planning to steal the food and sell it to the local markets.I hope Sakaja has put measures for accountability..Some of the people who will sell the food are Headteachers and teachers.....of his schools!
I don't know how this issue of famine amongst kenyans will be settled. But one thing I know is that the culture of handouts that this programme is about to entrench will make a bad situation worse. It will also open avenues for corruption and corruption is the single reason why parents are unable to feed their children.
This is the kind of government we need right now all we need is patience and we will heal,paying tax will be hard at the start but i believe we will get there with time ave lived in many countries and i know what it takes to have prosperous economy
Let every school have its kitchen,there is too much traffic jum in Nairobi, when will the food be reaching other schools,tena you will reduce on costs(fuel,drivers,m/vehicle maintenance).
Sakaja gd job, ihope when we were schooling we have pple like u for in all my education level without lunch ad many more, ithink even today those uchago sch many goes without food, so let all governess or sch representatives visit school, in nyadarua wouldn't say which school many of us were going. Without food lunch ad jioni pia no food ad if ur lucky utake uji with magadi, no milk or sugar, but we made it only by God's grace, ad the most wondering thing we looked very healthy but food was agreat commodity whereby meat, chapo ad rice was only Christmas goodies, ad bread was cerebrated on Saturdays once a month when ur dad comes from Nairobi, but no one was there kututetea, so ithk God for u ad u feel the pain concerning the hungry child, God bless all who feed this children, cause iknow the pain to go to school in an empty stomach,

There is nothing wrong with leaders showing emotions in public it shows they are human and they can feel other peoples pain. Not the fake polticians we give promises and nothing is done. he is already providing solutions to the hunger school going kids have to face. @@naomikamau7561 if you want a consumption subsidy it costs money but let’s assume he does that this is how it plays out the price drops people rush to purchase the supply is wiped out in a week or so then you have yourself worse crisis where there’s no unga in the market but demand is still there what happens in such a situation the price completely sky rockets. So now you have a double tragedy you’ve spent money on a subsidy , it wiped out the remaining supply, prices have skyrocketed , you can’t find supply internationally and Kenyans don’t want GMO okay , which means you’ll have to out bid any other buyers out there in the international markets which costs money then bring it here and n top of outbidding the world market subsidize it again and btw don’t try to increase taxes as you say . My fren that economic management is the type you find in Zimbabwe
