Its interesting to me that its just jks that this is fought against. For the last 9 years, and frankly longer than that, pro players constantly talk about "Oh I didn't know I was cut until I saw on Twitter." When those guys were getting paid next to nothing, no savings, no support. When jks is more than likely a millionaire still on an above average salary for being on a bench doing nothing. You'll stick up for a millionaire but there's silence for all the deeply impacted players of this industry that have no way to speak out and no funds to fall back on. This is a regular occurrence in this industry.

@@Scyborg832 if i knew those players I'd be mad about it too as it happened to them. But I don't, because I'm relatively new to the esports scene (only really started keeping up with one at early 2022 in Katowice when I randomly watched VP vs G2 in quarters). If I heard about other players from other teams getting benched the same way, I'd probably be pissed off at that org the same way I'm pissed at G2. But even if for other people, if this is the first time they've cared about a player getting benched, it's because some players are more popular and more loved than others. JKS is pretty much that. The shining light of Australian CS in recent years, the stand-in that helped Faze win Kato substituting in 2 roles, the consistent anchor and pillar of G2. Of course people would be pissed. Though I dont doubt a lot of people are also just already G2 haters or Niko haters that like having more reasons to dislike the org/player, I've definitely seen enough of those. When you consider both factors, yeah I guess it'd seem like an unexpected amount of people actually care for once about a player being benched.

Except where does he go now? No decent teams right now need him nor want him nor have space for him. Vitality are set. FaZe just got frozen who is way better than jks. G2 kicked him. NAVI like the consistency and team dynamic jL. MOUZ maybe could take him but they've already tried out Brollan to pretty good success. Liquid are not getting rid of NAF. Cloud9/VP/Furia/Eternal Fire/Astralis don't use English. Complexity has no reason to drop floppy or Grim. Falcons just built their team and Magisk is simply better than jks. Monte probably wouldn't drop kRaSnal or DemQQ. His options are essentially Apeks in place of sense, GamerLegion in place of isak, Heroic in place of sjuush, and NIP in place of es3tag. None of these are desirable apart from maybe a move to Apeks as it means he's back to playing with jkaem but Apeks are in need of an IGL at the moment as well.

Ok relax mate, I didnt like what G2 did with how they disrespected JKS when benching him, but are we forgetting Katowice? Or Cologne? Or pretty much any tournament this year he played in? G2 was able to use him really well, and he got 3 trophies from his 1 year stint. I know it's easy to just be mad about it but use your head a little

I agree after the hooxi interveiw its easy to realise that jks was just a support player in G2, which is an absolute waste of his skill however. But yea he has like no where to go now hes kinda fucked

@@maxkc_ Can you give me some good examples where "Niko's emotions" have cause troubles in the past? I don't know why he gets blamed for everything that happens or every single roster move that is made as if he is the one running the org. Plus Niko is the second best player in 2023 behind Zywoo so I don't really know what you mean by "Niko is nowhere near that level" even though he has been far better than s1mple this year. Check his stats for the past 12 months, easily been G2's best player and at least top 5 itw this year.

@@kshitiz6376 niko is notoriously quick to tilt, but yeah these guys displace a lot of blame onto him just because he gets mad. In their mind: Mad evil man vs. lovable nice guy. When this is a sport. They put too much of their personalities into their analysis.

It's just formality to not do so until he gets transferred or officially released. Most teams operate in the same way. Get mad when they *dont* do it even when JKS has already left G2 for all I care, but to make a video like that now wouldnt make sense

@@Pyxyty i respect all of the players in g2, but you gotta be living under a rock if you think G2's players had absolutely no input what so ever. When egos are huge players like jks will and always will take the heat; especially when your contract is 10x cheaper to buyout. People talk and most of the time its not gonna be constructive criticism if its being said behind your back.

@@Jens9807 What is the conspiracy that would make them lie about his comms? G2 itself was pretty bad with just going radio silent due to tilt. But I don't see why they'd just lie about his communication being the problem.

I think G2 on their best days with their roster with JKS, was better than Vitality or Faze on their best days. It's just that G2's floor (poorest performance) is way lower than Faze's or Vitality's; they're way less consistent and often do best at short sprint tournaments. I think it's clear their mentality isnt as good as it used to be when Edward was their mental coach.

@@Pyxyty I aways feel like G2 only performs when the individual players perform. Basically it's not like they have 200iq tactics and consistent team play (relatively speaking of course), but rather when 2 or more players are on fire for once, they just don't lose the individual fights, and that's it. Like they aren't the best team in the world, but they maybe have the biggest brute force on any team.

I think they wanted an anchor that could call. jks couldn't and Hooxi's T-side calling is just god-awful. I assume they want to keep Hooxi so getting an anchor that can call and someone that can second-call for T-side, also having near-jks performance markers and an aggressive style to boot seemed like a pretty good deal. Not only that but nexa is already extremely familiar with Hunter, M0nesy, and niko making synergy much easier. Pretty decent reasons. Imo just replace hooxi with nexa and develop nexa's IGLing further would've been a much better idea in the long-term. I assume hooxi has a lot of pull with G2 which is why his dog-ass aint gone and banished to T2 yet.

I would assume because of the shortage in igl players. I bet as soon as some more igl show up they gonna drop hooxi so fast. That's what G2 does. They bring new players and as soon as something bad happens they ditch them like dirty socks.

Col was always trash online and it’s hard to be good as an anchor/lurk when a team is as inconsistent as g2

Not sure how he's dropped off. He plays a shit role but his rating is still right up there in comparison to others who have that position in a roster

Hunter 1.06 rating in the last 3 months. He is playing rotaters, traders. JKS 1.05 playing passive lurk + support. Yeah, hunter will make them win CCT finals with that kind of stats. Not okay, average. The guy said mediocre.

@@jessybenoit4488 Having hunter on the team is better than jks. I believe that Niko plays better cs when his cousin is on the same team. Sure hunters transition to cs2 hasn't been the best but overrall he's a better fit and harder to replace than jks.
