JLCPCB Complete Guide: How to Get Your PCB Manufactured

honestly, used JLCPCB twice. Never had bad results, cost me $20 both times, both times got the boards a week after ordering. i just go from breadboard to pcb and buy the parts of digikey. Considering that most american pcb houses want an arm and a leg to get a pcb to me within the month i'm loving jlcpcb

Today is not hard too 'make' pcb, just send file and done. But i love too make PCB alone, i'm using photoresist dry film. Results is not bad and protect it with solder mask. I'm more satisfied if make it myself, and always can learn something new.

Do you know when we ask for a panel, if the stencil would also match the panel or only the circuit being panelized ? That could be super convenient if they could match the stencil with the panel too !

JLCPCB is one of the cheapest and yet highest quality PCB manufacturer. If you are making a prototype, the minimum of 5 boards is like a maximum - it is actually good if you tend to screw things up. However, it always costs some material loss. Prototyping isn't actually thing to order PCB for. Very first prototype is good to make in home environment. First with breadboard if possible, then first PCB prototype printed and etched fully home. It's better to prototype first full THT PCB, then if it works, you may of course redesign it for professional manufacturing in China. First order of 5 pieces is way enough to test it out. Make necessary changes, and final design can be now ordered to be more than 5 pieces therefore.

11:35 - I notice no solder mask between pads. Was that intentional?

If your software gives the hole sizes as the final finished size you must make that clear to them. Otherwise the holes are drilled at that size and after plating they are too small. Once that is clear, they compensate for the plating thickness and all goes well. Recommended

What happened with that black silkscreen? It's clear the white silkscreen is screen printed, but the black one is inkjet, but why is the design printed at an angle and then showing the bad resolution of the printer?

What type of microscope do you use?

Only the standard lead green pcb has soldermask between the fine pitch qfp. I mean I would be mad to pay for ENIG and custom color PCB only to get a lower quality product than standard lead HASL!

What software do you use for the Design of the PCB ?

0:41 WHY ?? u dot use MAXimum area GND in PCB like headsink? And thin lines (in PCB) is like resistors (making heat) (better is 3x wide lines (only solder pads (mayby wo paint is only thin, like chip legs, but better is, if right and left solder pad is 2x wide and center is 2x thin/down solderpad (& solder pasta/flux never too much used (better result)) ).

Or just use photoresist method at home and make 0.1 mm traces in minutes. You don't get solder mask or plated holes, but I don't care about those in my own designs which won't be sold.

Dont use sandpaper for cleaning ink. Use alcohol for this. For cleanin copper before etching you can use HCL.

Pause at 1:57 Nice comparison. More and more people order from them. Hopefully they wont increase the price. Its cheap and good quality. But for one project 5 or 10 pcbs is too much. You use 1 and the rest are useless. You will never use them unless you make many copies of the device and sell them. If you dont sell, then these 4 or 9 boards will just collect dust and you will throw them away.

A set of PCB fabricated by Jlcpcb is complete useless. They have not made inter layer connections for the vias. Also they are not responding to the complaint lodged with then. You will get good PCB if you are lucky.

WARNING JLCPCB has a very very bad service, i have order in total 5 project and only recieved 3 of those, the 2 missing NO REFUND ANDNO HELP solving it thay just say just reorder it (with again paying for it)

All fake. I have ordered samples pcb and paid 32 euros. DHL is calling me and informed me that in order to get my parcel from Jlcpcb I need to pay them 50 euros plus customs charges. What the f*. Never again. Black listed.
