This is the best review of the DriBuddy by far. Thank you for the thorough review and explanation. I am keeping the money in my pocket!

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback, although it works, it just wasn’t suitable for me 😪

Had one of these for about a month now. I think it's a good substitute if you dont have a tumble dryer or space for one like me. It's much more difficult to dry clothes in winter and this has really helped. You do have to adjust the clothes as they dry so they dry evenly. You can also peg items to the hangers too.

I totally agree with you as it’s horses for courses, I’m glad you like it and it works for you 🤗

In wet weather & all through winter, my washing (for 4people) goes on clothes maidens, hangers over doors etc, and stuff that needs drying quickly/urgently go on the central heating radiators. It drives me mad at times so I've been to-ing & fro-ing for days trying to decide whether to buy a Dri Buddi or not. Then I came across your review. Not only is it the most honest & helpful one I've seen about the Dri Buddi, it's helped me (finally!) make up my mind - I'm going to save my money & not bother buying one. So thank you for taking the time to do this review, it's much appreciated. 👍

You’re absolutely welcome, it could have been so much better, it’s such a shame as the idea is good.

Thank you so much.You have saved me £80.l was.just about to buy one.Its a god send I came across your video..I'm going to stick with my old methods. On airers in house,then dryer 10/20 minutes. IT 2022.The cost of everything has sky rocketed.But just using the dryer for 20 mins max a week.is a better choice for me.I put duvets and sheets over doors bannisters.Thank you so much again.It was so honest,straight to the point.I felt I was.being given a private tutorial in your living room 😀 👍.

Have a few of the regular tripod air dryers they go about chest high. We tumble dry till just damp then hang the clothes to finish off the drying. In the states there is a device that looks like a cloth cupboard it can hang on a door or stand by itself. the item is called the JM Close Drier and has more dryer settings but is also limited on space.
@HooverLux
@HooverLux 5 лет назад
Oh ok, I’ve not heard of that, but yes, the old way I dry the clothes is more efficient for me, winter of summer, I prefer like what you do, hang up or in the drier.

I like the concept of the Dri Buddy but my wife refuses to have one because she is worried about long dresses, skirts or trousers catching fire if they accidently fall on to the heater base. How safe is this machine in your opinion? We have a standard condenser tumble dryer which works perfectly enough and we also have a washing line (which we use when its sunny).
@HooverLux

To be absolutely honest I bloody hated it and sold it on eBay. It’s a complete gimmick and waste of time. All the clothes come out of it crispy dry and creased to buggery 🤣🤣🤣😘😘

They are not perfect but they do come in handy. When I had a tiny apartment without this it would take me almost 3 days to dry a Judo uniform.

Personally I would air them then put them in the dry buddy. Cost wise 2 hour dry against your several 20 to 40 mins in tumble dryer will not save money on electric and your still have to iron either way rumble dryers do remove some creases dependant on the materials that crease , but tumble dryers also shrink your clothes over time . I go for the dry buddy personally.
@HooverLux

That could work definitely

Thanks this is a very honest review I'm in a small place and no heating only in one room worried about hanging clothes on doors etc with allergies,not buying one now I'd have no patience for that I'd be watching in case the hangers melted,thank you..mags

You’re very welcome, it’s very safe and well made, luckily I didn’t have any issues with it, I just found it made the clothes crispy dry and you can’t load it full like the adverts say.

they are dreadful, I bought one last year thinking it was better than using my tumble dryer, I paid nearly 50.00 for it, on first impression I was impressed by it, but when I used it to dry my clothes ect.... I was by far from impressed, it took ages, and my clothes did not have that outdoor smell of feel, it felt like I had not used conditioner everything felt hard and it was hard to iron out the creases, I gave it to a charity shop in the end
@HooverLux

@HooverLux
@HooverLux 3 года назад
Hey Gordon, hope you’re well? I guess it will depend on how wet the laundry is your drying and how long your using it, depends on how big the room is and if it’s sealed or not, I’d possibly leave a window open a crack?

After all the hype about these dri buddies I brought one .its supposed to take a full machine load it’s does .drying the garments fully no it doesn’t .clothes smelt musky after 7 hours .hangers where pushed out of shape .this dryer takes up a load of room .i ended up getting rid of it .
@HooverLux
@HooverLux 5 лет назад
Sylvia Hafez Just like me, I honestly thought it would be good too, I was really disappointed like you, hangars didn’t fit, patches of damp. The only thing I liked was the lovely smell of the fabric softener while it was drying 🤣🤣🤣. A very large and useless air freshener 🤣

OMG what a faff . I will stick with my series 6 Bosch condenser dryer or use my horse placed in front of the split system which in Brisbane takes 20 minutes on a 37 degree day. I only iron if I really have to .

I know right 🤣. After a few weeks of use I gave up on it and it lived in the garage eves for years. I do the same as you, but here not at the 37 degree day 🤣.

Does it use lots of electricity?
@HooverLux

Not as much as a tumble drier and less than a fan heater, its not too bad to be honest, but as with any electrical heater, you will see consumption increase a bit.

I found this video very ( Dry ). If all the air and moisture stays inside then how do they dry? Open the zipper a little and let some moisture out. LOL. Hey guy the grandfather clock isn't running....Why? Great video mate and keep them coming. If possible maybe you can use hangers for children and they won't touch and they will dry on the corners. I put up a a clothes line that looks like an umbrella in my spare room and use a oscillating fan. My clothes dry fast a cheap.
