Joachim cheated but Alexandra, being the classy Royal she is, chose to not air private Royal Family matters in public and that is why queen loves hers so much.
love bags the reasons is the prince like go to pub, play racing and party, but his wife like participation charitable activity, because a lot of the problem stems from a personality clash between prince and Alexandra, they decided divorce.

@Amy Sun we have no way of seeing into the future so we take a chance. Sometimes a marriage works, sometimes not. I think the cultural differences and Joachim's youth played a huge part in this failed marriage. She gave him two gorgeous sons but he's ecstatically happy now with his stunning wife Marie now and their children. together.

Certainly, but you must remember that Joachim was "just" a prince - not the heir to the throne. He was entitled to a beautiful wedding and he got that. But there is a difference between him and his brother. Fair or not, that's the way it is.

He visto a lo largo de mi vida por televisión varios bailes de boda de príncipes y novias muy contentas pero la verdad el día que vi este baile quedé fascinada por lo super enamorada que se miraba élla. Luego fue triste años más tarde cuando se supo de su divorcio. Ella se veía muy mal pero fue fuerte y salió adelante. Alexandra una mujer digna de admirar que desde un principio mantuvo con la esposa siguiente y el príncipe buen trato por el bien de sus hijos.

She is Asian and I am too so I know first hand , she have to stay in Denmark to save face as a divorce woman in Asia you are a failure those days .Their was no divorce then in most Asian countries .Plus she signed a nuptial agreement that she can’t take her children with her in case there would be a divorce ,Princess Mary signed it too. It’s also hinted that their relationship was rushed and wikipedia even states that both their families were surprised about how fast the relationship got when they became engaged. I’ve heard the reason that she can’t take her children to a lot of places is because her sons are Princes and their grandmother would have to give permission to let them leave the country because of safety, but still she says she’s been able to travel with them to countries like China.
I don't know anything about infidelity. I've heard they had fertility problems and that puts a strain on any marriage. They were too different and this marriage was a mistake from the beginning.
