Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida. Gran pintor, trabajador infatigable y hombre feliz.
A beautiful age now gone. I wish Valencia was still like this but it is gone - We, with all our modernity on now poorer than the people of 110 years ago in this pictures.
The. Master of all Times..Valencia…you make our heart sing,110 years on ..You make our heart sing dream and fell..the passing, the beauty ,the sun,the shade, and the beautiful sea..
How inappropriate this music is, especially when you consider that Sorolla was a contemporary of Albeniz, Granados and de Falla! !Qué falta de educación! God, how exasperating! I hope this helps.
It never ceases to amaze me how many of these artists around this time producing these wonderful impressionist art work very talented people, I have a dabble at art , and appreciate how difficult, but satisfying painting is!
NO COMPOSITIONS SHOWN HERE...only PARTs of paintings...Details kept in movement so you NEVER see an entire composition...Wartena does not think a painter's composition is important enough to actually show.
Had the pleasure of visiting the painters home in Madrid a few years ago. Love his work - my wife introduced him to me. I must admit I hadn't heard of him before then!
