I REMEMBER WHEN ME AND MY BROTHER JOE WERE YOUNGER AND SMALLER, I THINK WE WERE STILL IN SCHOOL, WE WOULD STAY UP LATE AND WATCH THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JHONNY CARSON TIL ABOUT 11:30
This, and the marmoset on his head are absolutely iconic and forever hilarious. These uploads make a lot of people very happy and I hope they get to earn Carson and others of that TV era new fans forevermore.
Johnny Carson was the god of late night and still is nobody will ever come close to him the animals were hilarious. Buddy Hackett was really funny on there too
I don't about "god" of the tonight show, but he was the greatest and nobody comes close to 2nd. Maybe in the far future there will entertainment like this again, but my generation don't even like good entertainment so there's no hope unless there booze, broads, and guns involved.
Geeze I hate to be a Debbie Downer but often watching these Tonight Show clips I can't help but think how sad it is that he died alone from tobacco poisoning. Such a sad ending for such a talented guy. Just my opinion😢
You have to wonder just how spontaneous these kinds of things were. Ed stood up as Johnny ran toward him. It certainly seemed as though they had rehearsed the jumping into his arms, but they could not possibly have known the cheetah would snap at him like that. It's kind of weird.
Johnny had a little side fling hustle with Joan many years later that outlasted most of his wives who also strangely had the same name. Ed was also in love w/ her. Enchanting woman. Carson was such a great guy. Love to meet them all in Valhalla one day.
I was a kid when my grandma and i saw this episode...when Johnny jumped into Ed's arms, we both howled like idiots... fortunately, grandpa didn't wake up (got up at 5 for work).
It's unfortunate. I don't watch videos like this, even though it might be great, because I then get nothing but this channel in my feed. It makes me block channels I would probably like seeing occasionally. Marking "not intersted" does nothing.
