i can see "the wildman" watching this on youtube and thinking "holy crap, joan jett called me and i missed it!"

I thought it was funny as well. Letterman is standing there with his hand out, and Joan is gone. Even today she seems to have endless energy.

She was sick of his bull shit. i can't blame her.

Knowing now what Letterman is like with the females..she was probably grossed out by him. Going on about her look (thinking she was older, her leather pants, etc.) he probably was hoping she was older so he could do her! She was probably thinking Get me the fuk outta here! HA
