On 13.11.22, the European premiere of Joan Jonas’ poetic performance “Out Takes. What The Storm Washed In“ took place at Haus der Kunst, performed by the artist herself and Lucy Mullican, with a composition by Ikue Mori.
Echoing the exhibition, the artist continued her crucial negotiation of the relationship between nature and humanity with this performance. The filmic sequences projected on the screen were recorded in different landscapes over the last 30 years and dedicated to the ecosystems of the forest and the sea.

Am 13.11.22 präsentierte Joan Jonas die Europäische Premiere von „Out Takes. What The Storm Washed In” im Haus der Kunst. Die Künstlerin selbst war bei der poetischen Performance zusammen mit Lucy Mullican auf der Bühne, begleitet von einer Komposition von Ikue Mori.
Joan Jonas führt in der Performance bedeutende Themen aus der Ausstellung weiter und verhandelt das Verhältnis zwischen Natur und Mensch. Auf eine Leinwand wurden Filmfragmente projiziert, die über die letzten 30 Jahre in unterschiedlichen Landschaften aufgenommen wurden und sich den Ökosystemen des Waldes und des Meeres widmen.
