I've never seen a man so compassion on these shows before. So, so different than their younger counterparts who seem to struggle with who they are and what they want. Some even going on just to be in the spotlight, just so shallow. But this guy seems to be very heartfelt genuine. Awww..... So sad.

He may be under contract that stipulates that he can't pursue her outside of the show. But she may be too overly involved with her adult children anyway to have a healthy relationship.

I’m going to guess this was something related to postpartum depression. She said her daughter gave birth 15 days ago and that her emergency was related to her daughter’s recent birthing, not the grandchild. Perhaps her daughter was suicidal. I can’t imagine what else would warrant an immediate exit if they knew the baby was coming. In any case, I sure hope everyone’s OK now 💙

AGREED 💯 she may be a helicopter and mower mom mowing down every problem that arises and hovering around and running to their beck and call. Wouldn't work would be too chaotic, to say the least.

After a C Section, anything could happen...surgery & new baby! Hormones will cry, Mom. For her to focus on Gerry & deal with all the drama.. It's not a doable thing for her emotionally. Joan just seemed right for Gerry in many aspects. I think Gerry thinks so, too! It's hard to shake it when it's right (very rare)- Sensitive issues all around

@deepsoul3256 Girls can be difficult in re-establishing a new love....When single I rarely dated a guy with daughters...did once and the outcome was not good but I was young....This show giving a true deep look into reality with aging & love & real facts...Also, giving HOPE to those wishing to share their life-

He is definitely still dealing with loss and also being on this show is a milestone. It’s gotta be touching but I agree a little less sensitivity would be better
