Juan, you should do a Crochet 101 series about things like the construction of different yarns, and center pull vs outside pull. I learned to crochet maybe 55 years ago and never learned about the things you are sharing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, youngster!

OMG you just made my day on the amigurumi!!!! I just finished 2 HUGE Amigurumi Gnomes! this is wonderful news for me! It actually got me back into crocheting!. I sew on industrial machines making purses' and i am loosing my eyesight in one eye so doing Amigurumi has helped me A LOT!!! Im so excited for this! THANK YOU!!!

I have all of the same Unforgettable yarns that you got and I love them! I was fortunate enough to get enough to make several projects. I have a cardigan on my hook using the Petunia. I Love it! I am also making a shawl with it. I'm am making a cardigan with the Whimsical too! I don't have a problem working with it, but I am a 71 year old granny that has worked with a lot of yarns over the years that were not fun to use. I love watching your videos. 😊

One of my first amigurumi was a PokeBall. Then I made Weeping angels from Dr Who, adding in floral wire so I could position their arms. Also made round bombs with wicks, and Daisy-stitched on a capital F-for when you want to drop the F bomb. Also owls, pumpkins, penguins….so many cute patterns out there.

Your outfit today made me smile! I love your idea for teaching the foundations for building amigurumi. Will definitely watch for it. I'm trying to stick to a commitment to use up yarn I already have, so I'll probably use a non-bernat acrylic but it sounds fun. My advice for whatever it's worth would be to maintain your slow speaking voice (I know we can switch video speeds in settings, but they always sound creepy to me, LOL) and maintain your great attention to detail. I also love your colorful yarn backdrop. Very cheery yet so organized.

Juan, I have watched you from day 1. I’m so excited about the amugarumi tutorials. I have a few book and actually that is what made me come back to crocheting. HOWEVER I haven’t done 1 amigarumi character yet!! Of course life got in my was as it always does. I’m a perfectionist which has made me a procrastinator😢. I’m sure w/your videos I will succeed. Hey Juan, This is so crazy ! I so not make ami’s . I litterally purchased . Just chenille cone from premier last night wanting to learn to make some fun stuff for my grand kids . Angel from stitch Disney movie. We are on the same wave link . I have some of the same blanket colors you just bought and I have been thinking about working with some Christmas yarn and making a hex card out of a stitch I did last year I’m not real good at tutorials but if you are it showing how to do it in any recommendations, I’m all ears . Juan I love to make amigurumi. I made my granddaughter a black speckled cat and I use to make Raggedy Ann dolls but I lost the pattern. Your so good at what you do. Great job.

Several years ago Dollar Tree had cases of Red Heart Unforgettable for a $1 a skein. They only had a few colors, but I bought a few cases of different colors. So far I have made two blankets with two of the cases. The blankets are nearly twin size and a bit heavy. I love them! I haven't had any issues with fluff shading.
Juan, I have recently discovered you (thanks to Crystal). So I’m sort of going back and catching up. I have been crocheting almost 60 years. (Ya, I’m really old!). I have been making amigarumi out of my own head for many years. Before there was a specific name for it. Of course I have had varying degrees of success, although my granddaughter has been quite pleased with the recent unicorn triplets that I made for her. I look forward to picking up tips from you in your upcoming project! 👍
Ive never been a fan of amigrumi. I like shawls, cowls, scarves, and blankets best of all!!! I also knit and have been wanting to make a knitted sweater soon, just haven't decided on a pattern yet. Crochet is still where my heart is because I taught myself when I was 11, and now I'm 70. So I've been crocheting a long time!😘 Only been knitting for 12 or 13 years. Have you ever crocheted with Premier yarns? I love their acrylic and acrylic/wool blends. If you've never worked with it before, you should try it sometime. They run good sales online often.
