That's very well observed. She is a gracious lady in every way. I absolutely adore her, from when she first showed she had range playing Kate Swift in Class Act to her wonderful acting in Sensitive Skin, her documentaries, her work helping the Gurkhas, her looks, her humour, her thoughtfulness, her intelligence, oh, just everything. I wish there was a Joanna Lumley for each and every one of us.
I just finished listening to her Audio book "no room for secrets" what a treat. Down to earth charming funny and intelligent. And what a wise soul, a vegetarian with a soft spot for buddhism and A Taurus! (we share that lol) and she has such a way with words and that VOICE. Love her!
I adore Joanna. Her charm is completely mesmerising and she's got such a cute sense of humour. The New Avengers helicopter stunt story is the best! And the Princess Anne biscuit one as well! :D I would die to meet Joanna someday. Thanks for posting this great interview!
God I absolutely love her!! Look at how refined she is - prim, proper, well-spoken. And then watch her in Absolutely Fabulous as Patsy Stone. Total opposite. The mark of a great actress.
manners, charm and grace. I love how she turns to the other guest and includes them while she's speaking. Many guests come on and it's one on one with the host ignoring the other guests. Not her. She is so gracious. Not only a great comedic actress but a great human as well.
Shes 'absolutely fabulous' I first saw ab fab when I was a kid, seeing her now that I'm older and in a different 'light' I love her even more. It's interesting to listen to her now, and look back at Patsy Stone, this woman is good!!
Three cheers for Joanna. What a shame there aren't more girls/women who cannot/will not emulate Joanna's manners, speech, humour and general deportment. What we have in UK is, sadly, quite the opposite. Worse still, they're proud of of being "oiks."

I have loved Joanna since I first saw her in The Avengers. Although she never replaced Diana Rigg in my affections, she is just as talented and even funnier.
I love her too! She seems like such a great person, and I do hope "classy" makes a comeback. All of this fascination with profanity and "gangstas" is getting way out of hand. I'm saying I want a change towards a more proper society and am only 15, so right on for people like Joanna reinforcing this idea!
