Was totally unfamiliar with their music before seeing this, so I checked out Joanna’s latest album. My lord, it’s astonishing - the songwriting and musicianship is at a ridiculously high level and every song sounds like a standard.

Joanna is an inspiration. A singular talent and a much needed voice. I've Got Me was my AOTY last year by a comfortable margin (and I listen to way too much music, at the expense of other things I could be doing with my life). I had no idea how much they were influenced by jazz. Will go back and listen again with this knowledge.

yeah she has BEAUTIFUL TASTE IN MUSIC not one Dud in the collection and! she was able to articulate the history and the significance of it all ,which you don't hear on here as much (besides Theo Parrish episode history on house music etc)
