Captain if you lose a board like that and there is room on the lake simply pull rods on same side. and turn to that side. Let the other ones fish. You will be surprised on how many fish will hit on those racing boards. Did this yesterday running 4 boards on each side. Caught a fish on the turn and one as we slowed to pick up the board. It was definitely a fire drill. Blue chrome takes them home when the sun shines. Found two other standard color DDHJ that actually have out performed it this year in the clear water days.
Rocky from epic outlaw. Great job on the fish Ohio's good way of starting out your season see you out on the water with your new charter good luck this year👍
The spring jig bite on Erie is my favorite way to fish hands down! We were up there for 11 days this past April, had two blow days & 9 solid days of great walleye fishing! We caught and released over 650 jigging walleye this year on our boat! Every day we had to change our tactics due to the constant weather changes/conditions! Every year we learn new tactics to add to our bag of tricks to keep the walleye coming in the boat! We are soo fortunate to be able to fish on Lake Erie!
I'm near Lasalle what is a daredevil, I know of no boat dealers out here anymore and no lund dealers for sure, I had to go to Chatham to get a ProV, 20 years ago, there used to be a Creastliner dealer for welded Aluminum rigs but very pricey, thanks nice fish, I always throw the monsters back, the taste just isn't there for me but 23 and under I like and obviously 15-18 are great. Have not been out in a boat in a while but get a fair bit from shore cause I love the night fishing, the tops of those reefs are probably great at night, I love casting shallow for um. thanks getting the itch now
@@JOBFishing my message was sent and I didn't finish it. My friends and I were in the same area last wk and did Great! No 10s but a few 8s. Fabulous area. Ours was a shtshow compared to your organization. Cudos,!
Hey J.O.B. That was a great hand line catch. My question is, do you have any trolling 1 on 1 instructional videos? Where your inside or outside boards should be. How far back should you be trolling. What baits to use spring summer and fall.
Not really...I tried to keep the instruction and tips in small doses. I do put on seminars in the early season at the fishing shows and I also offer instructional charters either on the Lund or Dardevle.
Thanks for a great job and video. I'm very new to walleye fishing. So my question is what does "FISH OHIO'S" mean? Is it a term used for certain length of fish?
Jason , On the rod you broke the line on how do you treat it moving forward ? Do you respool the entire reel to calibrate your line counter or do you peel off more line until you get to your calibration again? Or will you just let that rod go and mark it as a short line and compensate from there ? Thanks for the videos and all you responses. Will you video your charters ?
So I will just keep fishing as is. I was fishing 40' leads so I only lost about 50' which is roughly between 1 foot of lead length per the line counter. If I continue to troll naked crankbaits (minus snap weights) if you look at Precision Trolling app 1' variance in lead length will not affect the bait depth significantly (inches maybe). Now I start off with tuned lined counters and I will keep checking my tune periodically. If I notice I lose too much line I will respool. Now if I start using snap weights 50' or a couple of feet of lead length will start to affect my lure depth more significantly. Same goes for using TrueTrips or Dipsey Divers...reel tune becomes very important. Does this make sense?
Finally worked all the bugs out of the boat now I have to take it back to my slip in Marblehead hopefully this weekend and start doing some fishing thanks for getting back to me hope to see you on the water yeah one day I have to stop by and check out your boat if that's okay with you have a going
I will be starting to focus on videos again. I just finally finished up Dardevle, the Lund and the RIB and just moved into my new warehouse/storage last week along with working out the bugs on the new charter business. It has been a crazy busy transitional year but it is all coming together.
