Joby Aviation ($JOBY) Covers 523 Miles During Test Flight of Hydrogen-Electric eVTOL Air Taxi 

Joby Aviation (NYSE: JOBY), a leading developer of eVTOL aircraft, has announced the successful flight of its hydrogen-electric air taxi demonstrator, covering 523 miles with only water as a by-product.
This aircraft builds on Joby's battery-electric air taxi program and showcases hydrogen's potential for emissions-free, regional travel without runways. The test flight, completed last month, used a modified pre-production battery-electric aircraft with a liquid hydrogen fuel tank and fuel cell system, landing with 10% of its hydrogen fuel remaining.
The aircraft, previously tested as a battery-electric model for over 25,000 miles in Marina, CA, now features a Joby-designed liquid hydrogen fuel tank and fuel cell system designed by H2FLY. The system converts hydrogen into electricity, water, and heat, powering the six electric motors, with batteries providing additional power during takeoff and landing.
