Jocko, because of your motivation speeches and your podcasts. I have beaten my stress, anxiety, and fear. Which has put me in a road to success because of discipline. I'm currently in the process with law enforcement. Everytime I run a 5k and want to stop, I just think to myself "what would jocko say". Then I push myself to finish. Honestly, if it wasn't for your advice and wisdom. I most likely would be in a path of failure. Thank you man! Your my inspiration.😊👍😎

Maybe people who are hypersensitive to mouth noises, I have an actual physical reaction to them. I'm not going to thumbs down the video though, it's my problem, not the podcast's. I could see it happening though, I occasionally fantasise about killing people with their forks, a thumbs down in transient anger seems reasonable in comparison 😂

When Jocko read that citation, that man deserves a MoH instead of a silver star.
@Sarge80
@Sarge80 4 года назад
@Cecil Gibson I understand, you forgot Kyle Carpenter though, he is a marine who got the MoH for jumping on a live nade. Im just abit dumbfounded at how they select people for that honor, ive been watching quiete a few of the MoH ceremonies and some havent done half what did guy did, they got the award, and like you said alot of marines didnt, just weird.
@2ndAveScents
@2ndAveScents 3 года назад
@@Sarge80 MoH citations are almost always reserved for those who knowingly and willingly sacrifice themselves through extraordinary acts of valor in order to save or protect others or in order to accomplish a gravely serious mission which may or may not have directly or indirectly saved the lives of others. There is a reason the MoH has been awarded so few times (in comparison to other awards) to living recipients.

My Uncle served in the Army during Vietnam, October 1966 - he was apart of the 1st infantry division - nicknamed ‘The Big Red Ones’, deployed to War Zone C in south Vietnam. He lugged around an M-60 also know as “The Pig”, and was the support for his patrol. He was a few weeks fresh into his combat tour; immediately seeing action. I have not really spoken with my Uncle, as most of these stories are told from my Grandmother. Hearing these war stories from different perspectives really emphasizes the outcome on how bad the war really was. Thank you for your service Mr. Eisenbach - as well, thank you Jocko for bringing him on one of your podcasts.

I believe I was where he got wounded. It sure sounds like the exact place. I was in the Americal Div. (Army) and was on Charlie Ridge which was a hot place for NVA soldiers. We had a team of 8-9 troops and walked into a Sapper base camp. It was July 4, 1971 and we had contact three times there before we moved out because it was going to get dark soon. We were ambushed on the way out and they threw a Chicom grenade between me and my point man wounding us. The Lt. was walking behind me and they blew a claymore on him killing him and wounding a couple of others. I remember to this day a NVA soldier telling me "I going to medivac you GI". We had 1 KIA and 6 WIA that day. Charlie Ridge was a tough place to run patrols. Almost always got into combat, booby traps galore, when we went there. Love your Podcasts Jocko on the Vietnam War.
