Just in complete awe of how Jocko delivers such wording of a great American hero. "You gave to to appreciate his writing."

I am a direct descendant of General John Bell Hood. I am very big into collecting firearms made before during and after the civil war. Knowing many of them were in major battles. Holding them and shooting them you can really feel the Connection to the Past.

I had relatives on both sides of the civil war. In one letter my great grandfather sent to his cousin, he talked about the fact that they were in some of the same battles.

In my opinion. Morrell and Company B with the Sharpshooters are a huge part of keeping the 20th from being over ran. Some of the Alabama's writings mention how it affected them. Morrell basically, although in a small yet effective way, flanked the Rebels and made them think there were more than they knew about.

People don't realize, the civil war was one of the most brutal loss of American life ever. The other newer wars were awful but this is unrivaled. God bless these brave souls.

We need veteran reading time in all our schools and libraries but instead the crazy Libs want to have trans reading time. It’s no wonder the military is struggling with their enrollment numbers. Our kids need to understand the freedom they have has been paid for by those that gave their life‘s on the field to battle.
@Rambo29
@Rambo29 Год назад
Veterans are always welcome to read to children in school, the military is struggling with enrollment numbers because they don't pay soldiers enough money for the sacrifice they're making Schools and libraries need to teach the art form of rhetoric, persuasion and strategic thinking in schools. Logos, pathos, ethos...learning how to speak effectively and communicate on an everyday basis, children are so absorbed into their phones and technology, these kids don't know how to properly speak or emote their feelings, we are using memes and shorthand writing instead of having an educated discourse.
@thechongwolla
@thechongwolla Год назад
I think the dubious involvements in the middle-east haven't helped enrollment numbers. I don't think bombing the middle-east and north africa to the stone age has anything to so with US security.

37:15 the author is explaining how the way men were "disappearing" was so fast and abrupt it was as if they went to another dimension. Maybe he is referencing being "translated" into heaven or just literally out of this plain this world. Very fascinating poetic way of speaking.

General Chamberlain's writing is steeped in the riches of Holy Scripture. He does not merely quote verses, but employs the vocabulary, metaphors, and cadence as his own. Ι think his description of his general holding the the eternal tablets of the law is to the majesty of Moses coming down from Mt. Sinai with a glowing face after meeting with God to receive the Ten Commandments.

160 years anniversary this year in 2023 So many brutally died for our freedoms, for their brother in arms alongside them, and for everything they believed in about this country (despite conflicting perspectives on these beliefs) Do not let their sacrifice be for nothing.

Only the insane part is falling. The part who’s cities lie on a Coast and are shells of their former selves due to Leftist Policies and Ideology. The majority of Citizens in this Country are DONE with the woke, insane, violent, Anti-Constitution, Anti-free speech, Anti-Patriotic, Anti-Christian, Anti-Semitic, Anti-Science, Anti-Facts, Anti-Borders, Anti-Police, Anti-Woman, Anti-Second Amendment, Anti-America, Pro War, Pro Sanctuary Cities, Pro Political Violence, Pro HAMAS, Pro Trans (Gender Dysphoria), Pro M.A.P’s, Pro Rioting, Pro Power, and pretty much any other insane, immoral, or simply dumb issue one can think of. Including trying to eliminate the number one competitor of Joe Biden. They want the Presidential Ballots to have ONE choice. Fortunately, all this has and will fail. There’s nothing they can do to stop it. (Thanks to our Brilliant forefathers and Constitutional Supreme Court). Americans finally reached the breaking point in 2023. They realize how important the 2024 Presidential Election is and will show how much they love their Country by getting rid of the worst President and Cabinet in US History. Canada is long gone. England isn’t far behind. Luckily for the future Canadians, by 2100 Canada will become American Territory and add its 10 Provinces, giving the US 60 States, one of the largest countries by land area, population, wealth and natural resources. Manifest Destiny. 🇺🇸

There was no Civil War it was the war of Northern aggression. The South didn't agree to what the north was trying to do and wanted to secede and become its own country. But God knows the tyrannical u.s. government wasn't going to allow its money to be taken away. So they used every dirty tactics they can think of to make sure that The South was to stay under the thumb of the Union. And so it was and so it is to this day we still live under that tyranny and even more so that tyrannical government has become more powerful now than it ever was. Happy tyranny day

If you want to read about Hood's Texas Brigade at Gettysburg, and other battles, (1st, 4th and 5th Texas and 3rd Arkansas,)I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the book, "Hood's Texas Brigade: Lee's Grenadier Guard," by Colonel Harold B. Simpson (USAF Ret.) a tough, brave brigade. General Robert E. Lee said of them, "my Texans always move them and get me out of the tight places!"
