Ohhhhh yeahhhhhh she loves to smile during her murder trial.....loves to show off those big awkward teeth of hers, she thinks that people are really enjoying hearing all about her! It’s really impressive that a 22 year old waitress would date (and move in with) a 44 year old disgustingly ugly man. My parents (especially my dad) would’ve had a huge issue with me dating a man his same age. I’m willing to bet jodis parents had an issue with this. All the pointless talk Nurmi is doing, and this is never brought up?
She wanted to stay “nearer” to darryls wife. I am shocked that the grammar NAZI herself, just made up a word! Excuse me Jodi, I believe the word you are looking for is CLOSER. Dumb BITCH
@@TeklaTch I never said he was. But it doesn't justify his brutal murder. Both Travis and Jodi were to blame for their toxic relationship, but it didn't mean she had to kill him.
@@SableDays Nahh...i definitely don't think that was it. I think he was just grasping at straws, trying to stumble upon anything to work with. Like throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks. I don't even think he knew where this aimless, meandering, crap-shoot line of questioning was going. Just trying to get through his "assignment". Lol
@@1w598 no hes not grasping at straws, its a defense strategy to paint a picture of the defendant to the jury, to humanize her by hearing parts of her life story. we are hearing about her past relationships because they are pointing out she had issues with those relationships too, but she didnt go apeshit and kill her man so it must of been travis who provoked it. their trying to make the jury either relate or think how could this woman be a callus murderess who slits a mans throat, it must of been self defense....
They just want the jury to see how poor Jodi has just been being abused so badly throughout her life... such a sad life story LMFAOOOO this psycho, spoiled BRAT, has been stalking men her whole life
Or she was convinced it was still a relationship 🙄😏.. i believe it was only over when she had the last word or if it was on her terms.. it is a bit strange that they all cheated on her haha, they went on with their life after breaking up with her and she calls it cheating.. she is crazy enough to be like that ☺
90% of breakups are done by the female. jodi was no different. she had no trouble stopping seeing someone and going to the next. when she says or is asked were u in love. she says it so casually. like ordering a pizza. she could care less about any of them. idk the exact reason why she killed travis. but it surely wasn't because of love. could be due to the lifestyle she would miss out on. but they both used each other. she used him for status and gain he used her for sex. he kept her around because of her bedroom skills.
I will never cease to be amazed at her utter hubris, thinking that all her nattering about minute details, droning on and on about irrelevant things in her past, is going to sway anyone, let alone the jury, after what she did to Travis.
It wasnt her idea it was planned by her lawyers... it all is supposed to show certain things.. such as her parents being abusive and him asking if she loved them regardless.. she didnt kill them that means he REALLY must have been bad.. its all planned out accordingly.
@@phoxekay It was not planned by her lawyers. Jodi was running that show, and yeah it saved her life, but that was not the result Jodi was aiming for. She thought she was going to walk free and not serve one day in prison.
@Kery Le Noir That may be how the legal system works, but what pisses most people off is the way she's up there chatting like she's hanging out with friends drinking coffee and not showing one ounce of remorse. I know it made the jury mad because they said it did.
@Kery Le Noir I know she's not capable of being remorseful. It still doesn't mean that people are going to be any less mad about it. As the jury said, 18 days on the stand hurt her and it would not have taken that many days if she hadn't rambled on so much. She sank her own ship. She didn't get the death penalty which is a win for her attorney, but it was loss for her. Like I said she didn't didn't think she'd be found guilty and I'm sure she's regretting the decision to talk so much.
@Kery Le Noir She may have been able to convince the jury that it was self defense if she didn't contradict herself every single day on that stand. She may have actually received life sentence with a possibility of release if she had just shut up. I'm not talking about those other killers and their trials. I'm talking about Jodi.
I find it ironic that she's so concerned about Darryl's health due to smoking yet she so easily stabbed and sliced the throat of another boyfriend. Something doesn't add up.
@@kimthreadgold2755 You know i thought that too. I've thought the same about her. No self respect no dignity no modesty. Absolutely none. Vile disgusting female.
I like how when she was being interrogated by Detectives Flores she chalked up her entire four year relationship with Darryl as “the guy I bought a house with.”
Major respect to Travis' family, for sitting in that courtroom and not lunging for Jodi's throat at any point in time. To the audience, detective, and prosecutor, for having to endure Jodi sharing her entire life story in excruciating detail. And to the court stenographer, who had to transcribe everything Jodi said to the court, even if it was in short-hand.
Jodi sure gave the stenographer a workout when she was on the stand!!!! Lol I wonder if he just started typing, “blah blah blah...blah blah...blah...blah blah blaaaahhhhhhhh”!!!!
She says..."if that makes sense" after so many of her explanations. Not just during this interrogation but during just about all of them. The answer is no. No Jody. You don't make any sense.
41:14 Unreal. She claims to not remember if she and Darryl put money down on the ONLY house she's ever owned or purchased, yet she can tell us minutia details of the mundane bullshit she called her teenage years. She is so full of shit, it's just ridiculous. She knows damn well she put zero money down on that house but had 12 grand saved in her savings. They got in on one of those first time buyer no principle loans that she had a year before the index would jump. She was hedging her bets to flip it for a profit before the market bottomed out.........but got sidetracked with the quick scam PPL and then Travis..........finally abandoning the house altogether. She spent that money on crap...namely boobs and a car she couldn't afford. She does not want to paint herself in any bad light.........ever.
She's knows how to describe everything well, seems like of she's not even scared, nervous, or ashamed.. She smiles and laughs constantly while explaining her life. So creepy and obvious.
She is a human being, but her brain is so different than most of our fellow humans. A psychopath/sociopath doesn't have feelings/empathy/sympathy like most people. Many sociopaths can be highly functional, but she has proven she can no longer live among us. Yes, ppl deserve a fair trial. This case is difficult, since the perpetrator admitted to the killing full stop, only after 2 complete denials and lies about the slaughter ( I wasn't there at all, then I was there but 2 ninjas came & did it).
As I'm listening to this, OMG, she's just the innocent little Cinderella....getting invited to the Ball with nothing to wear! Her Prince Charming comes through. Poor Travis, I bet that phone call was the major thing he eventually regretted.
Darryl said on the stand that there was no real breakup conversation it just happened. They never officially broke up. Also, she didn't help pay the mortgage anymore and began to become more irresponsible and become somewhat of a different person... Travis also never forced her to be with him. She chose to be with him.
Is crazy how detailed she is about every little thing about her whole life but just when she is trapped in questions she has the “”fog”” when she don’t have a logic answer to say!!🤭🙅🏻♀️😒
The arrogance on this B is really too much, should have gotten the death penalty. Not even for murder only but also for fooling and trying to fool everybody. 3 death sentences at least
When I realised there was a dress, we left Koles, got in the car, put our seatbelt on, started the car, got on the freeway, indicated 16 times, took 54 breaths, had 4 sips of water, WHO CARES!!! Can you remember killing Travis??? Ahhh NO. Skank.
I would rather eat my left leg with no condiments than have Nurmi for an attorney. The fact he talks slow AF annnnndddd when he does talk dont shit ever make sense is truly mind blowing.
I don't think she would want to spend so many hours being asked all these intimate details that are completely unrelated to the crime she's allegedly committed. I don't see the point of all these questions. And why they aren't asking questions related to the murder. They should be questioning her about evidence that they found of her at the scene or involved or having killed Travis. What is all this crap about the casino and conversations and all this other bull crap?
Haaaaa Jodi didn’t want to be with a man who was a smoker....I’m willing to bet Darryl didn’t want to be with a murderer, guess if I had to be with either a murdering, narcissistic, borderline personality having, psychopath or a smoker.....hmmmmmm, that’s a tough one......I’m gonna have to go with the smoker
anyone else amused by the fact that this girl can recall the sound of a sneeze from decades ago but has "no memory" of her murder night very suddenly after the gun "just went off"?
This is an example of Non-discernment of emotional immaturity of narcissistic behaviour of always wanting to be the centre of attention of 'falling in love' with anyone who smiles at her.
Nurmi’s first book title ... “ The Never Ending Story”... both he and Arias have one thing in common, they both love detail and rambling on and on .. and onnnnnnnnn! I can’t understand what the line of questioning about Arias and Travis’s in-depth sexual encounters has got to do with 27 plus stab wounds, a gunshot wound and a slit throat? The Judge should have reeled all this irrelevant nonsense in... who wants to know about Travis drinking chai tea and her drinking a freaking latte .... moving along now!
Sure,, and I agree- her history with her parents makes sense to examine her formative years, I e what actually formed her and twisted her and any subsequent ACTUAL abuse by others and how she dealt with it is also germane,,,,, but all this bs with her intimate encounters is way beyond what’s necessary here and basically embarrassing for Everyone except NurMI evidently……
Drinking game. Every time the defense lawyer says, "Well, let me ask you this." And you can play every time this guy is questioning anyone. I'm not a drinker, but those who are will be falling off their chair in no time. I'll just continue to be annoyed by him.
Nurmi asks what life was like in Yreka CA when you're 26, you dropped out of Yreka High in 11th grade, your live-in bf works at Subway and you JUST landed a gig at Applebee's... life was graaaaand!
Foreman of the jury said that he knew the details of the case, but when he saw the young, pretty defendant, he couldn't reconcile the crime with her. That infuriates me! The same person wouldn't give the same thought to a greasy toothless man. Reminds me of an experiment told to us in Psych class in college--they gave the same case i.e. a child was reckless and mean to others. Half had a photo of a cute child/half with unattractive child. Results: the cute child had less wish to be punished.
I think that trials like this should be done with the defendant conferencing in from a different room or from jail for this exact reason. The whole point of a jury trial is to be as fair as possible yet ppl get widely different punishments/ sentences for similar crimes based on their gender and appearance which is completely UN JUST! Just look at Casey Anthony it’s a perfect example. She obviously killed her kid but got acquitted bc one of the jurors had a crush on her. Disgusting 🤢
I think he's naturally S L O W. In reading part 1 of his book he's as useless in communicating information there as he is here. Ridiculous little stories which he thinks the world needs to know are peppered thru that book like it is here. To keep all this shit straight he speaks slowly. I think by not going chronologically in some areas (to confuse the jury) he loses track too (as her answers go on forever bc she's a f*** wit) hence the slowness and the elephant pacing.....then he says "let's back up a little bit" Oh no!! I hate it when he does that.....another 2 hours of mind-numbing crap
Purchasing the house was a business venture. I took real estate classes. I researched. I'm a very smart and savvy business woman, yes jury, aren't you impressed. Nurmi and his pen: how much did you put down on your investment? Jodi: I dunno, I don't remember, I think it was 0 down, interest only, that kind of thing. Nurmi and his pen: what happened? Jodi: duh we forgot about the terms of the loan and our payment went up. What a moron. Obviously when Daryl's ex moved back to Monterey, Jodi's dreams took a dump and she went back on the hunt for another guy with a house. Enter Travis. I also don't believe either one of them when they made a point of letting us know that they had absolutely no relationship until Daryl was out of his supervisor role. Pfffft. Right, with a child to support he stepped down from management just to date the defendant. Uh huh. Oh, and she got the wedding planner job during this time as well. All those employees yet jodi, of course not sleeping with management got the job. Puhlease, these two really expect us to buy this stupid story?
I think Daryl can breathe realived.. She could've kill him at some point. Marrying her, being older then her.. With a kid. At some point..she would cheat and to get rid of him...well 🧔🗡️ I guess..
2:48 .... Judge: Ms. Arias, you're still under oath- do you understand? Killer: Yes I do, thank you so very much for this honor and invitation to give you all my 'pree-sentation. I would like to thank everyone who has come out to support me while I put on my version of reality".
@Janine .... I know this is three years later, watching the trial 2019... but had to let you know your comment is “My funny” for the day... no, for the week!
JA seems to have had so many relationships that ended under similar circumstances. At some point wouldn't you begin to question what you are contributing to this behaviour?
Exactly- if you are a mentally healthy adult who has learnt from their youthful mistakes to mature and grow then at some point you realise that YOU are accountable for your life and the choices you make. If you keep making the same mistakes then you need to stop and ask yourself WHY. The way she jumped from guy to guy is highly suggestive that she lacked inner substance and so looked for validation and attention externally. I am aware how abusive relationships can affect this capacity BUT they only went out for a few months, they did not live together, she had no practical ties to him (financial, children) AND she had moved miles away plus there is no indication that the relationship was abusive - did it get harsh and messy at the end? Yes but she easily gave as much as she got and was incredibly intrusive and manipulative.
She has such an extensive vocabulary!! I'm sure the rats & roaches will appreciate that when she's in her cell alone. They'll be quite impressed. I hope she doesn't get "disenchanted" living in a cell alone. & those nasty boney hands that she talks with. I can't stop thinking that those were the hands that butchered that poor young man at the prime of his life. 🔪🔫. REST IN PEACE TRAVIS. 👼🙏
She is also guilty of butchering the English language - the way she repeatedly misused words is grating. Definition of a wannabe intellectual artiste when her actual accomplishments are barely equivalent to an elementary school child.
I have met this type of gal before--it was JA doing the chasing NOT TA. The only calling that got done was her calling him not the other way around, and as far as telling about her relationship she probably started telling him that they were breaking up. I seriously doubt that TA was the one doing the pursuing.
jodi has a different energy around her. it's dark, mysterious, sexual, and travis saw it. it was totally different then the woman he's around. i believe he did do some pursuing and continued even after she said she had a bf. not that it mattered she would have cheated anyway. IF she wanted. travis cheated on his gf. jodi would do the the things he desired but couldnt' get. travis's influence could provide jodi with a nice .life.
@@gourmetthursday got that right . Lots of chicks now days think "crazy" is cool. And Harley Quinn is a role model. But when real crazy is shown it's "what a psycho, slut, succubus ect"
Does anyone else wonder why the judge allowed all this meaningless testimony? I suppose someone like myself who feels like she truly deserves to be found guilty should probably be thankful for it. Because without a doubt, I feel it served to turn the jury against her even more!
Agreed! It’s so difficult listening. Jodi thinks she is a star and people want to know about her miserable life story. Like she’s not on Trial for a brutal murder but people want to know about her. She is getting massive narcissistically supply!

So she purchased a home way above her means, with an adjustable rate mortgage after only 1 year, at the absolute peak of the housing market in all of human history, with a man she's not even married to?? Yet she allegedly studied real estate in college to think was a good investment? LOL. She definitely shouldn't have dropped out.
I think so too. I’ve never heard a defence ask such pointless questions. I think she had all these answers prepared and told Nurmi what questions to ask her.
She may be extremely thin, but that is what Stress, Trauma, Shock, and the overwhelming PAIN of losing someone so close to you can do to a person! Most of us cannot even begin to imagine how painful this shocking & horrific Murder has been on poor Travis' family! What a freakin' CRUEL thing to say about his sister, who btw is beautiful, when you don't have a clue how bad she has been suffering through this hell!!! Have a little bit of empathy!!!!!
How can someone who is totally financially broke and loosing their home go on a 5 day trip to Las Vegas? It doesn't make any sense. Apparently Arias is use to making one mess after another in her life creating problems for whom ever she is with, then just picks up and moves on to make another mess leaving others to clean up after her. Arias takes absolutely no responsibility for her actions. Not from the time she left her parents home to the time she killed Travis and now during the trial. Arias is the dumbest person I've ever heard and seen. Sentencing can not come soon enough.
lori polick Except now we have the issue of her representing herself. Knowing her as we do, this penalty retrial is going to take months with her at the defense helm. What a mess this is going to be.
KRISTI ERVIN As of earlier this week, this is what I read online: Nurmi filed a motion to have the cameras removed and the motion was granted. Now that she is going to represent herself instead, she has filed another motion asking that the cameras be allowed in the courtroom. I do not know the results of that motion, as I don't think it has been decided. It is possible that the cameras will be allowed. I have read another online article stating that Judge Stephens has agreed or is considering allowing cameras in the courtroom, but that they will be on a 15 minute delay. Not sure why the delay of 15 minutes; seems a bit excessive to me. I know many times programs will use a 3 minute delay, so, to me, 15 mins seems excessive. But we shall see. BTW, she also filed a Motion for Continuance so she could prepare for trial. It was denied.
It’s irritating how she blames nearly everything she does on someone else - it’s pathetic. She’s always saying how someone encouraged her to do something or how she only did something because that’s what another person wanted. She refuses to take ownership of her decisions or accept accountability for her bad behaviour. I’m surprised she didn’t claim the reason she always got a strawberry Starbucks drink was because in kindergarten a child told her strawberry flavoured milk was the coolest. It’s daft and so immature.
All she knows how to say is UM....She LOVES hearing herself talk. What a narcissist!!!! Why do they go on and on about her childhood and boyfriends before Travis and the murder??? Oh yeah, she likes to herself talk!
I am watching this part of the video with UNBELIEVABLE anticipation of the fantastic Martinez Esquire's cross-examination...Furthermore, I hope the jury payed close attention to Jodi when she lied the first time, for this ridiculous onslaught of minutiae exactly what she pulled during the Flores' interrogation.
@@D-me-dream-smp yep Travis was saying that. It was always something wrong or she was bickering and whining about something comes Straight from Travis himself .. she created fake scenarios of mystery people stalking her, it was a lot of stuff with this broad..
Seriously, how long is she going to drone on and get excited about telling everyone the irrelevant details of all of her relationships, breakups, and jobs? It reminds me of her interview with Det. Flores. She gave so many irrelevant details, even telling him about the dog running in circles because she was there when she was supposed to be telling him about the intruders that "murdered" her boyfriend and "threatened her life".
She seems to think everyone is there because they are desperate to hear the all the boring mundane thing she did in her pathetic life, which is absent of any true accomplishments rather than simply there to decide if she MURDERED another person. Delusional.
No wonder it takes so long to get to trial in the USA - they spent days talking about her prior boyfriends, the boyfriend's problems, real estate ambitions and other rubbish before they even touched on the murder.
Insane. She is claiming that he basically ravished her the first time they kissed. Got her nakey and everything. Funny how he didn't have a history of rushing relationships prior to Arias...
What absolute disgusting defence! I can't watch this, and will move on now 2:40. I just feel so sorry that Travis' family had to listen to this stupid, insensitive defence lawyer. They should sue her, and her defence for having destroyed their lives, forever, and all just to walk scot-free. God, what an evil monster! Who the hell does she think she is, acting like as if everything is about her?
she would hate life in prison if they took away her writing materials, any periodicals, art supplies and contact with most human beings. otherwise, if they give her those things, I really believe she likes prison. she loves to talk and act. if she only has conversational contact with her attorney for the rest of her life, that would be torture for her. she does not deserve to have contact with human beings.
I don’t care what she has in prison to pass the time, how many fellow prisoners she manipulates, how many guards she flirts with to get 3 extra minutes in the shower, how many crayola masterpieces her groupies sell for her on eBay - She is locked up like an animal, looking in the mirror every day and watching herself get old, thinking about all the things she is missing, with nothing to look forward to but the same clothes, same shoes, same routine every single day, with no end in sight….probably until she dies, or is ready to go into nursing home. Such a waste. They say that people can adapt to anything, and I believe that to be true…but it still sucks to be her.
She definitely snoop through mats dad’s computer there was no way she was uploading pictures with his dad’s girlfriend. Another one of her stocker moves right there
Is there a specific reason her lawyer is talking that slow?? Like is that a legal strategy??? He’s speaking like he’s on Xanax or Valium. It’s so irritating after noticing it. He’s dragging his words along so slowly. Is he doing that purposely?
The four top Body Language/Linguistic Experts in the US did a video on Jodi Arias... they said the same thing! A few “uhm” are normal in persons speech, but the fact she does this so often is way over the top! It points to manipulation and lying.
Is this talk about the ex’s supposed to make us look at her favorably? She finds out her boyfriend is cheating, and instead of confronting him, she goes to the other woman’s house and spends an hour talking to her? That is just too creepy. Or are we supposed to think that because she didn’t kill any of her previous boyfriends, she must be a nice person?
I think she talked about all of them to try to show the jury that she is capable of keeping her emotions under control, and to show she didn't have a past/pattern of stalking behavior/inability to let go/etc. I think she was also trying to show that Travis wasn't the only ex she maintained contact with. The idea is so the jury isn't scratching their heads as to why she would keep in contact with Travis after breaking up with him.
She pretty much just proved without a shadow of a doubt what an unstable man hungry nutter she was. Tragically hilarious she thought what a loss to the world it would be if she wasn’t in it.
Sir, you're in court, as a defense attorney, in regard to a case where you're interviewing a person of their life story...whom BRUTALLY murdered her ex-boyfriend with both a gun and a knife. These questions don't relate to the case at all and is an insult to Travis' family who has to sit there and put up with the B.S.
but she didn't just shoot him, she butchered him! and I wouldn't argue with anyone that she shouldn't be fried for what she did. its beyond another woman looking in and " understanding" because she was clearly demented and had no remorse throughout this whole thing. even if its not remorse for him, she could have at least told the truth from day 1 and still not felt bad. hope his family can get thru this, must feel like a nightmare. r.i.p travis!
I did hear him testify. I guess my point which I didn't make very clear was that no matter whether she stabbed or shot first she went way overboard in the eyes of the law regarding self defense. She could have done a lot less than she did to get away if that was her real reason for stabbing or shooting him. That's why I find her claims of self defense so ridiculous. Her actions show something completely different. They show rage and hate and possibly a desire for revenge.
Wait a minute, she said he attacked her......so why did she not have any marks on her at all apart from cut fingers when she murdered him....I should be a lawyer man, she's clearly lying through her teeth. Thank you all and goodnight,
I can’t believe for the life of me that this girl and her defense sat together and rehearsed the questions. Nurmi keeps interrupting her with ok but she keeps talking. Just weird how comfortable she is talking. She is so cocky.
I believe she already knew about Bianca before the night she drove over there. She was just waiting for Matt to leave town so that she could go confront her and that's why the guy Steve became frantic and sent her to the wrong room. If he hadn't done that, I do believe Jodi would have killed Bianca that night. I think Steve ruined her plan. Bianca's very lucky to be alive.
Don’t be dramatic. This wasn’t like the Travis situation. She believed she was owed expensive trips and eventually marriage in a 5 bedroom home with her soon to be husband. So no, I doubt she would’ve killed an irrelevant girl owning nothing & on whom revenge wasn’t as important as it would be later for Travis .
She is such a narcissist! Every where she goes, she meets a guy first, she works every one. When she broke up with this guy she makes it sound sweet. Very few break ups are really like that.
I'm trying to be objective, but from what I heard I don't think she loved her ex-boyfriends. The way she tells stories, I just don't feel any emotions there. And she didn't say no, because she didn't want him to feel rejected - so she would go with everyone? That is how it sounds. Her lawyers should prepare her better. I understand that they want to show him as bad, horny guy, but she let him treat her that way. She was not comfortable with oral sex, but she did't say anything. This is stupid.
