Scenes with the two of them together (including the violent ones with the stabbing and the shooting) are special. I agree with Sandra that what goes on between the 2 characters whether they're far apart or close together (but esp when close together) has a physicality that even the cameras can't fully capture
I really can't adequately express how much I love this series and these wonderful actors. When they're dancing, awkwardly at first, then they relax into each other, eyes closed, it's just lovely. Villanelle maybe worried that Eve wouldn't want her because she 's killed so many people, but Eve accepting and forgiving. I just about cry every time. I won't admit how many times I've watched it
Yes, Caroline had the best story line this season! She was brilliant!!!! I was so sad over Kenny but it was so on point! Fiona Shaw killed this season! I bow 🙇🏻♀️
I don't think they walk away. I agree with Sandra when she says that she has only Villanelle left. And she turns before Villanelle and yes Villanelle turn to see if she goes away without turning. But she do, she turns because she understand that this situation (go away from each others) in this moment is absurd but beautiful. I am a romantic person!
Do you remember how Dasha describes "creating Villanelle"? She says "I broke her back, I gave her wings". Here's my point - Before reconstruction you need deconstruction. I think that's the meaning of the last scene. Yes, they both walk away, but the very last shot is about them, still (already) on the bridge, looking at (discovering) each other.
I love that. "before reconstruction, you need deconstruction" every character is going through some significant deconstruction in their lives so that hopefully they come out changed.
I think the last scene represents the acceptance of their situation, embracing their vulnerabilities & acknowledgement of the destruction that caused by their desire to be together.
I wanted to hear more of Fiona’s insight of her characters development. Caroline was also intrigued by villanelle from the beginning, also wasn’t phased most of the times she’s met villanelle, they also have a mutual respect for each other. V was given instructions back at the prison and Villanelle once refers to her as ‘the real boss’. She def knows something Eve nor Kenny knew about Caroline. At the end in the couch scene they had this little understanding family unit moment when Caroline tells them to shut up and sit down like a maternal figure and they ( hilariously) listen obediently. I hope to see even further character dev of Caroline and even her backstory to explain how the renowned Caroline even became a renowned leader of the MI
I really hope they don't walk away from each other completely. They just got close. I would love to watch them grow together, especially after they went through so much together to get to this point. It would be very interesting to see villanelle in the position Eve was in in the begining of the series when she was like everyone else. I wonder how villanelle would react and how Eve would influence her actions now that she is the extreme one.
Fiona Shaw is an amazing actor and an interesting person. Yet you've interviewed her then left her out of the title! Of course Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh are the leads in this show but it just seems rude.
