The fifth and final single off his upcoming LP ‘Nightwhisper’, 'For Those We Knew’ is a touching homage to Jody’s father. Inspired by the contrasting emotions felt during a difficult time, the track was written to be "something ultimately uplifting, but a piece that still portrayed the feeling of impending loss”. After composing ‘For Those We Knew’, Jody teamed up with vocalist Mimi Page, explaining "there is an extremely spiritual and ethereal quality to her voice which I thought made perfect sense contextually”.
With over 26 million streams across his solo and collaborative catalogue, Wisternoff's latest LP is a culmination of decades at the forefront of the UK rave scene. Written during an introspective period for the DJ and songwriter, 'Nightwhisper’ drops May 1.

How fitting, been clearing out the space under the stairs and came across a box of old photos, amongst which was one of my parents at their 50th wedding anniversary (sadly passed many years ago) and this tune dropped from Jody as I was looking at the photo, I’m not ashamed to say it got a bit dusty in the room and I shed a few tears. As always Jody delivers, I am 67 this year and love the Anjunafamily. Bless you all 🥰

Your comment brought tears to my eyes, so first and foremost thank you for sharing such a personal story with all of us. Same thing you described I have been through a few times & then some. Sometimes with pictures & other times just staring into the distance with a cup of tea in my hand. We all often come across a track that takes our soul & conscientious on a journey. No matter where you are the memories of the ones we miss comes to us naturally or our childhood memories that remind us of the innocent days. Synthwave & some major 80's tracks does it for me every time. I'm 40 now & I question my own mortality & fear the inevitable outcome time & time again so I appreciate these tracks & the memories that come along with them. Reminds me how precious & short this life truly is. Thank you again.

Sid It’s fabulous how music brings emotions to the surface, and thank you for taking the time to reply, I’ve been to many anjuna concerts and have lost count how many times I get “hi fived “ and even a hug, people chat ask questions and the atmosphere is always one of togetherness, even managed to shake hands with the man himself at the launch party for Anjunadeep 11, a magic night. Take care my friend life is a struggle right, but Anjunadeep always makes life more bearable 👍

Wow this is so stunning, It made me think that should I die now, my only fear is that I don't go to heaven because I didn't help make the world a better place for everything and all. How could I help the father still that I am here right now? Powerless yet hopeful, can I help others? Beautiful song. It made me think of this. However, loss is so hard. It's so hard. I wish everyone who died can go into heaven. I wish those who are sick can recover. I wish those who have a second chance at life, to take it strong without fear, and for everyone to relove life again and the ones near. The hate and fear, I understand you. But, I wish we all have the strength to say to it, not today. You will not have your way. For we are good, if we do good everyday.
