After 50 years of professional playing (with the USAF Bands, 23 years), now retired, I'm happy with my bebop Meyer 7MM and hard rubber Otto Link Tone Edge Slant Signature 8 on tenor. I would love to try the HR* Dark jazz piece

I went for a DV 7 on tenor and have used it almost exclusively for years. Just got a SuperJet 7 for alto..... big fun! HR Star for Bari.

Excellent information. I used Jody's information and advice to buy my HR* 6 Alto Mouthpiece, I'm now revisiting it to remind myself what I need to be considering when buying my new Mouthpiece for my new Buffet 400 Tenor. Great advice..

Played on a meyer 5 rico jazz 2.5 reed on my yanagasawa 901alto for years but wanted to try a new mouthpiece but did not know were to start looking but after watching the vid its given me great advise looking to purchase a jody hr* dark 5 now..thanks for the vid

How does the hand hammered compare with the Custom Dark in terms of sound. I have the Custom Dark 7* currently and LOVE it.

I think they are all bright side Inc custom dark So I don't think they compare to Meyer or darker MP's most definitely not for Desmond sound

I used to play Yamaha 5C , jody jazz suggested and sent me HR*. Initially I couldn’t play it, but now after so many months I play only JJ HR *. I use 2.5 Reed and now I am able to play lowest note to highest note on my tenor. I am not liking all other Mouth piece I have Thanks Jody.
