In the novel old Joe fall deeeeeeply inloved of Ming. But also the old Joe always looked in Mings eyes as the beautiful mature man who made him completly confirm his own sexuality and also realise (too late) his deep love for Joe (after years of confusion with his love for snake Tong who is aware of Mings feelings and always take advantage of them...One of the biggest moments of pain for Ming is that also finding that he was in fact inloved of Joe back ). Mings pain and sufference after Joe death are so strong described in the novel- but also his rage and frustration on his own huge mistake made with the old Joe- made him to act again on the "substitute own venting method" with the new Joe. So far Poom and Upacting is a PREMIUM LEVEL, one of the best in BL history - they are Joe and Ming (just few actors become 100% their characters). POOM and UP succed to bring on screen so well that DEEP BOND beyond time TENSION between Joe - Ming described in novel. Our boys really deserve a big award! And also for the series a huge award! A masterpiece novel is really becoming a masterpiece series who will definitly remain in the public memory and heart❤🙌!

Do you know in what chapter he found out that it was Joe’s back not Tong’s?

@@sarahkoho7794 when they are gone in that city and they stay together in the room hotel and watching TV at thst former scene from the first Tong movie - when Ming fall inloved- and the new Joe is laughing and telling Ming that isnt Tong back but his stuntmen back. Ming will call Tong former assistant to verify that and he will receive a confirmation! That will be the moment when Ming will run away in pain outside the hotel - in winter cold weather etc etc🙂

@@sarahkoho7794 and there are some other painful moments for Ming- all chapters 78-88 are epic- from the moment the old Joe dead body is finally discovered after 3 years till the moment Joe true identity is discovered. When Ming runs away from the hotel- when he find out the truth about Joe back - Joe is running after him and an earthquaqe take place and that earthquaqe is finally reveiling old Joe bones...Joe will go to see his body and will faint from pain for his faith- this will rise more suspicions in Mings heart. Ming will test the new Joe making him to come back to his condo (thinking that Ming will be in other city) and then the epic discovering of Joe in front of Ming take place. A great great novel adapted now in a great series. And just proudly looking at Poom and Up how they actually became Joe and Ming- we will never be able to see someone else in these roles.
