Trump is the one who put Medicare and Medicaid in jeopardy. But Biden simply cannot communicate the positive messages about his successes.

All of the liberal media outlets generally didn't cover Biden's declining health until it became manifest for all to see when Biden stepped out on the debate stage. Apparently, it was such a hard story to investigate and get sources on. Meanwhile many so-called 'journalists' tarred the Wall Street Journal for covering this, and Robert Hur who said Biden shouldn't be prosecuted because he will essentially come off as a forgetful old man. Broken country. So many people and institutions lacking all integrity and judgment.

The way the election rules are set up, only Kamala can run with the money they've collected already. Anybody else, they have to return the donations (which they've already spent) and raise money again. That's going to be difficult under the best of circumstance. These are not the best.

I just think Biden memorized the answers to all possible questions and he got things mixed up during the debate. That was a bad strategy to begin with and he clearly over prepared for the the debate. It could have happened to anybody, I don't think Biden's bad performance the debate night has anything to do with his mental state. That said, it would be HARD to convince people Biden is capable at this point and I really don't like to say this but IF the democrats want to win this election, the democratic party must choose another candidate. The Vice President should NOT be an option, I am personally leaning towards the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom. He is young, energetic, a soft talker and he definitely has the stamina and finally, he is very presentable.
This campaign seems to be stepping out of one mess right into another one. If I were behind the scenes I would completely revamp the campaign focus/methods. It is looking worse by the day.

There are Gov. Cooper, Gov. Whitmer, Senator Chris Murphy, the governor of Kentucky (Andy Besheare?), Senator Booker, former congressperson Tim Ryan, Senator Tammy Duckworth, the current Secretary of the Treasury (Gina Raimondo?), and a host of other talents in the Dem Party to choose from. Pick someone who can do well with Independents.
Anybody but Kamala and they have to return every cent they've raised for the campaign and start the process over. Difficult when they've already spent the money, right? And anybody but Kamala might break the party into pieces. They have to run her and she can't win.

The unfortunate thing is that the majority of americans opted out of voting in the primaries of either party, allowing party loyalists to pretend all criticism of their last picks was unjust, doubling down on bad candidates that the a large but passive part of the country didn't want.

Forget about Trump for a moment. I lived in Germany for 5 years (1977 to 1982). I can't believe that most Germans are satisfied with the prospect of Biden continuing to be the leader of their ally. Democrats have other options that would be better for Germany

Hello DW TV . I think by their age they should be sitting down on a chair with a glass of water by their side and debate. Its not easy at an octogenarian age to stand and debate.
I wasn't paying much attention to US election, but I never knew that his condition is currently this serious concerning his cognitive abilities. From what other news had put together relating to his freezes or glitches from the past 3wks, I personally don't think he is able to last til November, because his worsening condition has manifested in so many occasions recently.

That is actually the easier of the two types of interviews you mention. He gets to wing it in an unscripted interview, winging it is a genetic requirement to be a public -liar- speaker. A scripted interview means he has to remember questions and the correct answers. Try him on that.
Trump contracted COVID in 2020 and voluntarily left the hospital to get back out on the campaign trail after a day. Nobody is buying “it was a bad cold” And what happens if you get a cold and the country is attacked? How can you lead the country if you can’t form a comprehensible sentence?
