I don't know when Joe started playing, but he opened for BB King at 12 years old! Only on Fridays and Saturdays because of school. I was blessed to have seen his first gig with BB!
Great couple of Joe B. reactions! If you want to see him do something a bit different, check out his acoustic performance of "Woke Up Dreaming" with cellist Tina Guo, live at Carnegie Hall. Not sure what genre of music it would be, but an amazing performance by both artists.
@@Texas_Love Yeah I really took it all in, and getting to watch the whole band like I want to is a plus for me .. videos don't focus on the band much but I like the whole experience .. Cains Ballroom has a wooden floor, and I could feel the energy from the floor vibrating and through the air, vibrating my bones .. No chairs so standing the whole time .. That's an experience you don't get just from videos .. the headphones help alot though
Listen to Freddie King's version with Leon Russell on keys...saw them in 71 in Arlington, Texas, and have loved both of them since. Freddie used to hang out at Mother Blues in Dallas....
Can you say "TIGHT"? Damn, they're great! Thanks man...you force me to smile (almost laugh) when you do. Perhaps someone else can recommend a tune by Joe, but I immediately thought of one by Alvin Lee..."The Bluest Blues". Absolutely killer!
I love, love, love Joe Bonamassa!! He is sooo awesome! Not only is his playing spectacular, but his singing is the greatest z!!🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏 You should definitely do more!!!❤❤
More Joe Bonamassa or Beth Hart and please try Black Country Communion ,I love Song Of Yesterday Live but the whole Live Over Europe is a vibe from my past The way I remember concerts in the late 70s and early early 80s all in balls out rock and roll
Joe is a beast. SRV, Joe banamassa, jeff healey, gary moore, I cam listen to over and over and not get tired of it. Please react to hummingbird live from Greek theater. It will absolutely blow your mind
Watch Joe live In Vienna It’s an all acoustic concert My favorite song of his woke up dreaming is an acoustic song though there are other versions with special guests My personal favorite is a man and his guitar. The whole concept in Vienna was exceptional. Next level.
I just subbed to your channel. And That's exactly right about Reese playing with SRV . Your reacting to some of the best music ever . Just ran upon your channel and was checking it out and your reactions are spot on with me .
That was really good would have been a awesome night, I see some of the guys from the Jimmy Barnes Lazy cover are there with Joe and also Mahalia Barnes was one of the back up singers, Great stuff Cheers man :)
Storming acoustic instrumental from Joe, live the beacon theatre, Woke Up Dreaming. Starts of with a bit of singing then watch out. Also check out Blues Deluxe at Rock Palast.
Great! Now you need to check out one of Joe's idols, the Irish guitar great Rory Gallagher. For an intro into Rory's music, try "Moonchild" at Loreley 1982 or for something slightly different, check out "Philby" at Montreux 1985 with Rory playing an electric sitar. "Do You Read Me?" from 1979 Rock Goes to College gives you an idea of the energy of his performances. Or check his acoustic chops on pretty much any rendition of "Pistol Slapper Blues". Rory was courted by the Rolling Stones, was Melody Maker's 1972 Guitarist of the Year (over Clapton, Page & Beck). He was a phenomenal talent that let us much too early in 1995 at the age of 47. Please take a listen-you won't be sorry!
the show was a tribute to the three Kings, and it was cool to see Joe switch to the same kinds of guitars the legends played when he did their songs. In fact the Flying V he used on Angel of Mercy was actually Albert King's famous "Lucy" that was loaned to him just for this show.
Reese has played with Buddy Guy, John Mayall, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Colin James, Ana Popovic, Dudley Taft, Eli Cook, Los Lonely Boys, blues Messengers, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, Eli Cook and Joe Bonamassa
I just seen your video with Joe bonamassa going down and yes you are correct the 3 kings what they're known baby king has 2 brothe actually started. Playing with b b king I'll be with you at thirteen to fourteen years old would just start to play with him
Had to laugh! Never heard anyone listen to JB and say "The one thing that song needed, was more guitar solo!😅 However, as someone indicated below, it sounds like you should listen to his performance of Just Got Paid at the Royal Albert Hall. It's a tribute to ZZ Top, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. If you need more solo after that (and aren't very impressed)...you should seek professional help!😅
Live grainy gritty video of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jeff Beck (another Brit guitar god) on tour together doing "Going Down" smokes this. Stevie is so animated and stoked to be with him. Joe is accomplished and polished. I want my blues with a little more grease.
So much respect for all these performers, SVR, Joe, Roy Clark, Glen Campbell....Maybe check out Gary Moore "the Messiah will come" his performance live at Montreux is awesome!!
This was the 3 Kings tour which was special. He has a gigantic body of work. I recommended this to someone else a few mins ago but there's a concert in 2006 unreal ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XfVGCrQdw08.htmlsi=25PRSoKgZFdcqPhJ
I consider Joe the greatest living guitar player and have seen him 4 times. If your looking for an incredible solo may I suggest a song however by Gary Moore IMHO the greatest guitar player who ever lived and his live rendition of the Messiah will come again No lyrics just a long incredible solo leaving you believing the Messiah has come again and he is playing the guitar
