When Joe first recorded this cover, he said he’d never sing it live since it taxed his voice to the limit. Hard work has given him the pipes to credibly cover Babs and produce a fabulous version. What a treat to finally hear this live. Thanks so much for the upload.
Joe, that’s the 64 Strat you got at Normans recently. You said it then, she deserves to come out of the case and play music again, oh my you were so right, that thing sounds freaking amazing. Such a really cool guitar you make it sing like no one else!
Joe you are the best. Me and my wife have seen you three times hell of a show. We live in Kentucky just over the line of tn when you get home back to Nashville we will see you again. Love what you do. ❤
Tonight going to Hollywood Bowl where band performs with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra. Probably some but not all of the show. At least he’s NOT DOING HID COUNTRY WESTERN EXPERIENCE
I think the audio recorded is pretty good here. I was sitting in row D right in the middle and the audio in the Eccles wasn't great. If you listen to a recording at any other venue, it is better. This was my first time at the Eccles so don't know if this is typical or not.
I completely agree. And the transformation from his fairly nerdy speaking voice, to his singing voice is unreal! There's an interview on YT with his manager, where he talks about when he abd Joe split up with Bloodline (actually, the other members were trying to kick Joe out!). Joe wasn't even doing lead vocals. A vocal coach they hired for the band told the manager that bonamassa had the best voice in the band. That, combined with JB's guitar skills provided the manager the good sense to say "I'm going with Joe", and has been with him ever since!
