Lmao facts. He gets nervous cuz joe could never step up lyrically in anyway, imo joe is only known because eminem signed him/slaughterhouse and yelawolf a while back, besides that he would still be irrelevant😂
@@karthiks3414 😂😂😂 yea 50s gonna stab and beat him up like Fat joe Game Cadillac ta Black child Irv Gotti Ja rule Young buck Rick Ross Nas Shine and who else he not beat up?????
TRIPPLE STACKS All haters need time before they start to love you 😂😂 but we all know why he dissed em in first place WE ALL KNOW Joe was on some MGK chit😂
Agreed. He shouldn't even comment on Eminem. I remember back in the days, when my CD player broke and I had to sit there and listen to Joe Budden on radio. That was the last time I ever bumped his shit. While Eminem, I bought his albums and continue to listen to his music. Joe is just ticked he never got to EMs level.
Em ain’t always great, he was shitty for 2004, 2010, and hasn’t stopped being shitty since MMLP2, his last good album. Bang was his best verse in a while, the rest of his verses this year were utter shit.
Gandalf the Dark Caterpillar verse was nice, so was Chloraseptic Remix or however you spell it. Kamikaze was a 3/10, super shitty album with only one track I fw, The Ringer.
Maybe he didn’t play it all out of respect for Em so people could check out the original video instead of just listening to the whole thing on the podcast.
Jamil Nichols Em signed Joe and gave him unlimited resources and exposure. Whether or not they were successful is a different story but Em did try to help Joe.
@@jamilnichols1558 He gave Joe a second chance with the most popular platform. I mean 2003's "Pump it Up" was a long time ago, and he didn't really have successful charting music after that until he was signed with Slaughterhouse to Shady. Any & Everyone signed to Shady should be thankful and forever indebted to Em if they aren't shelved. I think this is the first compliment I've heard Joe give since the whole tiff started between him & Em hopefully he's put it past him and the hate stops.
Em's verse was more metaphoric what Conway was spittin. Don't get me wrong both their verses were kinda metaphoric but Conway sounds more believable and listening to his verse makes you go, huh this is a street dude you don't wanna mess with Conway was talking that grimy, heavy underground, battle rap bars with word play on guns and how he's ballin and it sounded fucking great, like bar after bar and those ad libs made it sound like his really about the street life. Em's verse was like my words are bullet and my thought process is my glock that will lyrically slaughter you. Like Conway is a dude you don't wanna mess with IRL and lyrically you don't wanna mess with Em (if that makes any sense) we all know Em did have his gun charge so you could say he does have some street credit and isn't like goofy and all. Also he's not into like yeah I'll pull up and shoot on you type shit in his music n all because if he does that it would come off as corny although the way he used to roll around with D12 and 50, g-unit and all I know em isn't afraid of confrontation. At least this is my take on it. Conway and Em were 🔥 🔥 🔥
Joe the type to listen to 5 seconds of an album or a song and say it's trash, or it's good. Can you believe Joe still haven't listened to revival, which he's stated multiple times, yet he heavily criticised it. Yet people never seem to question his credibility of critiquing. Just like now, he listened to less than half of ems verse and said it sounded good (not saying it don't,) but I notice when it cone to Eminem, how always gives a half assed/unfinished listen.
I don't need to listen to a full song if it's gonna be good or bad (to my taste) just as a teacher doesn't really need to read the full essay to grade it, just the beginning and end nd skim through the middle... If you like it you go deeper, if not then you skip...
@@myne4781 so what about a song like sicko mode, where the beat changes, how would you know if you like it or not.. and are we listening for the content or the beat? You just going to ignore the possibility that a song's content will hit you a certain way just because you were being ignorant and skipped it based on the first 5 seconds? I see why revival got alot a unnecessary criticism.. people ain't even listened to the damn thing.
@@edwin99901 well I never said 5 seconds, that's a little short... 😉 As for the content, there are song where I like the content, then I will listen one or twice because of it, but if I don't like the sound of it, I will still not like the song... If I don't like the lyrics, I will still like to hear it while doing something else. But a good song is both lyrics and music. Except for a few songs, I don't like the sound of revival, then I don't listen to it. But you're right, there are great lyrics in that project. Saying it's contentless is false imo. And that's only my humble opinion and speak only for myself. For me music open the doors to the song, lyrics make it a great song. If the lyrics are not good, I will get bored with the song quickly. That's how I enjoy music, but everyone is free to think differently and listen to the words first (for me the flows are music).
someone tell 'button' before I 'snap' he better 'fasten it' or have his 'bodybag get zipped'....The closest thing hes had to hits is smacking Bi7ches🏳🔚
I love when Em changes or enhances the beat on a song right before he goes in. He did that on Forever, Patiently Waiting, Not Alike, and many other songs.
imperial barcode I don’t like Em at all but his verse was pretty fire, Conway too was good but I feel like he isn’t as good as he was on shit like Blakk Tape
ImInfinite MidWest Fax. All I see is kids say is he’s “washed” or “fell off” just because they either don’t like his music or they just want to ride the band wagon
MackTheFifth I think it’s just because Revival was so bad. Being able to rap and making good music are completely different things. I can see from both sides of the argument.
@@bryant4972 It's not just Revival, Em has been getting constant shit for a decade lol. Relapse/Recovery split his fanbase into two camps, most people hated one or the other for opposite reasons, and then you add the age gap between younger fans of hip hop vs original slim shady/mmlp/eminem show fans, and you get one of the biggest fan bases in musicdom that can't make up its mind
PrimeraEspadaStark yeah damn near everything after the Eminem show I can’t fuck with. Some songs here and there but he just set the bar to high with his first 3 albums in my opinion. Now he uses that choppy double time flow all the time and it just ain’t it.
@@PrimeraEspadaStark what makes me crazy is they are All still here. And they are cuz he's so damned Good and has been diverse, like you said. I think even if you lean Shady, Em or Marshall, the other sides have kept him fascinating. The dude made Insane, Talking to Myself, Legacy, Untouchable, The Ringer. I wish ppl would just hit play, listen 5-10 X and keep it or toss it, but not disrespect.
They make a good point. Eminem NEVER just rides the beat anymore, especially slow ones. When his verse comes the beat always gotta change and he does some weird choppy flow. It's not appealing to me. Go listen to Careful What You Wish For and listen to how he simply rides that slower beat the entire song, and it's fucking dope. He doesn't do that anymore.
I'm not a Budden fan at all, but, the fact he did show some respect to Em. That helped me have a bit of respect for him. He's being humble about hearing talent. He's also being the most real and honest I feel like I've heard in a bit.
He actually Just started doing that with Kamikaze, none of his previous albums feature beat changes mid-way through the song, yet people are already acting like he has some "obsession with changing the beat everytime" like Mal said. Peoples memories are so short
Y we blasting joe here he was honest em FELLOFFFFFFFF his honest appraisal of his album is what brought a decent em back em fans should be thanking joe
Fuck that! If his shit is wack, there's no reason to lie to the man. Revival was buttcheeks no matter how much you Eminem stans wanna pretend it wasn't.
mistahmst you put out a album for everyone to judge let's see how people are feeling it lyrically most of it was good production was garbage hahaha you know you sit in the highest chair when 4x platinum is considered a failure
Sho Nuff don’t bring sales into this, Eminem is gonna sell regardless. He has a bunch of loyal fans who will eat up any garbage he feeds them. Revival was garbage, plain and simple.
Joe isn’t scared, hez on the same lyrical level as EM and I’m an Eminem fan, it’s just mutual respect as MCs, dats y EM didn’t go all the way at Joe hez a bit cautious
Justin Richardson yeah, this RU-vid comment area is like a school playground, joe has reached top level of rap that’s y EM signed him and like boxing when you reach that level no one is scared of no one, it’s just respect
Joey threatened to end his retirement if Eminem made a diss track at Joe and ‘Em didn’t. Joey, ‘Em, Jay, Drake are artists you do not piss off. Shoot a subliminal verse is one thing. Creating songs solely about them is a whole nother. Saying “fuck you” is one thing, spitting in their face...
Mic phenom go back check again. He not only said em was no longer great but he also said that he’s been a better rapper than em for the past 10 years. 😂 Now don’t get it twisted I’m a fan of joe but to say that he’s been better than em ever is just blasphemous.
Mic phenom of course he’s said em was trash, stays salty on that man and like Anthony said had the audacity to say he’s been better than him the passed decade....?!
"I've been better then you this entire decade" Dude he said em was trash Now he's either scared or realised that it's not ems fault that they weren't the next nwa
@@greywolf187 joe has been better in the sense that compare ems content and Joe's Content joe talked about everything from heartbreak to fuck that bitch from depressed suicidal motherfucker to I'm the best in the world and none of you can fuck with me whereas em has been rapping with the same angry tone and been rapping about how hard being famous is and how he isn't respected as Jay. Ems content had been all about being a whiny guy and joe called him out. And joe is a better rapper for me because his bars are more hard hitting than ems
He gave Joe a second chance with the most popular platform. I mean 2003's "Pump it Up" was a long time ago, and he didn't really have successful charting music after that until he was signed with Slaughterhouse to Shady. sorry dudes, im a huge hip-hop critique and Eminems album was honestly a 9.... Im not a stan either, but the people who cant agree just simply have their different taste in music, but when it comes down to the bars and the sound, it was amazing, and i was beyond impressed.... The ringer, Fall, Stepping Stone, venom, Greatest, lucky you, good guy, was incredible.. The only 2 songs I didnt fuck with was nice guy, and kamikaze ... SOLID 9
its funny how 20 plus years later people still listen very fuccin closely to every damn line Em spits and then says he trazz..but the same ones will say how great drake is, or 20 other trazz rappers.. longevity means something to me..period.. and when bad meets evil 2 drops in Nov..keep that same dislike energy
Nah this just goes to show em is all over the place now and not catching the flow. His rap now is like the end of a infomercial when they try to squeeze in all the the side effects before it ends lol
in seriousness, it was hard to believe Budden, it seem so reluctant and unbelievable when he gave Em a compliment.... at least he took the high road and just respected the art of Em... I personally thought Em verse was good, but his verse on Logic's Homicide was better
Wow good to see him not talk shit on Em. Song is really good but low key I think this is the first song where the other artist had a lil more energy than Em, Em's verse was good too though
You're all acting like he changed his mind on Em. He's just trying to be unbiased. He has a taste in music and he straight up says that this was just more his taste than the other stuff Em has been doing. You guys act so cultish anytime somebody doesn't like Em
The Amazing Major-A bro go back and watch the vid where he’s just bashing em. Listen to his tone there and his tone in this one. It’s completely different. I doubt he changed his mind (cause one you’re that delusional I don’t think you can). However, he is watching what he says very carefully not to piss off the great em again. Which is just hilarious cause in the em bashing vid he was trying to get us to believe he ain’t scared which in this vid you can clearly see he is. So his mind changed on that front
1:50 dude had no idea what the question actually was... I think they both misinterpreted it actually. He asked why Em changes the beat a little when his verse comes. Not why his beats are different than others.
I'm just a casual fan when it comes to em but glad to see a honest breakdown on here. Personal issues should never factor into how a piece of any form of art is judged.
Yeah seeing as how he spent years kinda working with the guy. Joe should have way more in his sleeve than MGK, and he's a way better artist when compared to MGK.
Everyone talking about mad respect for Joe for liking em verse like if he don't like the shit he don't like it. I guess liking Eminem is what get y'all respect huh??? Gtfoh.
