He was also correct about not giving Walker a bunch of money, dude had 2 good years, one before he signed a deal and one after. Favre is a scumbag and every QB should pretend to support their WR getting whatever money they can for locker-room purposes(privately, they should be honest with management), but the reality is that giving WRs too much money is bad for the team, Walker being an example of that. I think Higgins obviously deserves it, but maybe not right for Bengals specifically to do it

@@getbrainseeds Teams that give contracts early do so because they're trying to appease the player or get a good price before market spikes. there is no other advantage to doing so, most players fall in line because they aren't stupid and understand production dictates how much they can get offered by other teams. Teams aren't generally afraid of hold-outs, not the NBA.

So 🐻⬇️ that’s all you need to know what I think about Farve but let’s put it in perspective. Contract negotiations weren’t so out front as they are today and when that situation was in the papers ext. it did cause a real issue and hurt teams. I’m not saying today’s players are doing anything incorrect but how things are handled are much different because of unlimited access and social media ext how in-house matters are addressed are wildly different so why is it shocking for people from different era’s to have handled this differently and lastly Joe B is a dog good guy hope Cin gets a ship with him some day

QBs should always be supportive publicly, but if a sub-par WR wants a bag due to one good year, I don't see an issue with the QB giving their honest feelings to front office. Overpaid players in general hurt the team. (This is not about Higgins, he's great, talking about Javon Walker)

Y'all commenting with your Bengals historical prejudices. The Bengals have something and someone to spend money on. They have the highest paid player in the league. They have spent a shitload on offensive line. I trust the Bengals a lot more than other franchises. Do you really expect them to have the top two paid receivers as well? Give me a break! With the franchise tag they can keep Tee with a top 5 salary for one year. After that he's gone. The Bengals can't pay two receivers top five. Chase will get done next year. Jefferson and Tee are in the class ahead of him.

The Bengals front office is a JOKE! After paying Burrow you knew damn well last season you couldn’t re-sign Higgins. After Burrow went down for the season you could’ve gotten a 1st at least for Tee. Now you’re paying him 20M+ for one season. All you’ll get for him is a POSSIBLE comp pick. Now Hendrickson wants more money and the defense has already taken a step back losing Bell and Bates. If Burton hits nobody will care but they handled that situation terribly!!

Sadly, Right now it seems burrow is supporting being a 217 million fully guaranteed injury plagued overhyped limited playing qb Hey joe get in shape, quit smoking cigars and commit the football 100%. Talent only goes as far as the hard work that supports it. Right now that sb appearance seems like the aberration as opposed to the rule. The best ability is availability. Tired of hearing this entitled talk. Tighten that diet up, get in the training room, get training specialists. Fully commit put together full seasons, then in a couple of years hear what you’ve got to say. Right now you’ve accomplished nothing that suggests your team will be consistent deep playoff and possible sb appearance team. Right now the hype has far exceeding the results.
