kulurohera JOE’S got ice in his veins. That’s elementary school english , bro. Please get an education. I love Joe, but it’s highly unlikely he will be talking any trash playing for the Bengals. Their ownership and management is awful. Joe Burrow deserves better than the Bengals.
Everyone thinking this is saying he doesn’t want to play for the Bengals is getting the wrong idea. This is clearly a message to the Bengals saying ‘if you pick me it’s time to get serious about winning’
Exactly bro. I remember someone saying he should make demands and make sure he tells the organization what he needs. Think this is what's going on here. Basically spend the money cheap bastards. Lmao. And good lord is Brown cheap but he gave Andy Dalton a ton of help, just didn't work out unfortunately. Situation isn't nearly as bad as people are making it out to be. Plus he knows as the first pick he's going to a crappy team. Hell Dolphins might be cheaper than we are. Lol
It doesn't hurt that JT was in the Saints organization off an on (very off and on), was watching Brees' preparation the entire time, and was a couple hour drive away from Baton Rouge.
He looks like Macaulay would look after battling home burglars for 10 Christmases in a row and finally deciding that pumping weights and buying a gun was a more effective deterrent than setting goofy booby-traps
It's a little creepy how polished these college QBs are before their draft day --- they been groomed to say all the right things since grade school --- they seem like robots gunning for that big payday
I think he's a little too cocky, not only about what he says but his body language aswell. QB is all about the intangibles and personality, and i watched enough QBs to say that the humble ones always have the most chances to be successful. Rodgers was cocky too when he was drafted but he have the talent that most only dream for, and he was behind Favre for 3 years to learn how the game works and how to shape his personality. I think Burrow will be a next Baker Mayfield: Great talent, but a too shady view of leadership and questionable decisions on and off the field, and will take few years to grow up.
@@LucasFerreira-cq8qz So you missed the whole part when he was asked where does his confidence come from and he said he knows he'll work the hardest then anyone if he's good or not in the NFL he's confident about his work ethic? That sounds like a super humble hard working confident young man who believes in himself. That's not cocky at all.
No need to be nervous, until the Bengals have a top 10 OL. Born in Pittsburgh, Drake dropout. Pats fan lol. Lived in southern New England 54 of 60 years. 2 on Long Island. 3 in PA.
If I just take him at face value, he does come across as cocky. However I think he's had a chip on his shoulder for a long time and uses that attitude to fuel his success. Nebraska not recruiting him, losing the starting job to Dwayne Haskins etc and yet he has just had the greatest qb season ever. It's as if he knew he could do this all along if given the chance. This is why the Bengals question was difficult for him to answer. He wants the recognition and the accolades of being the best but he knows the Bengals aren't serious about winning. I think he also recognises that he cannot do it by himself and the way he credits TJ Barrett and others for some of his success makes me think he will be a good pro. Crazy scenario I would love to happen: Saints trade Taysum Hill and their 1st round draft pick to the Bengals for Burrow! Hill would be a gamble but the Bengals lack so much that his unique skill set could help them. Burrow then gets to play in the state where he is already a legend and learn from the master Drew Brees who happens to be his idol.
I would attribute this more to incompetence rather than not rating him , I think. Their whole set up was pretty screwed up for a while. I don't think Scott Frost would have let him slip through their fingers.
Vikram Parmar Scott Frost had a chance and passed - see this link: thespun.com/college-football/scott-frosts-old-quote-about-qb-joe-burrow-is-going-viral
Imagine Joe Burrow, Aj Green, Tyler Boyd, John Ross, Auden Tate, and Joe Mixon all on the same team. If the bengals get a better OL they’re going to be nasty!
He's right. Kurt Warner didn't have the biggest arm, but he was accurate. Accuracy matters the most. And that starts with preparation and intellect. This man has the resolve to be someone truly great. So excited to watch him play
To me he never once said he didn’t want to go to the bengals. I think he just wants to win and if he goes to the bengals he expects them to take it seriously. As a young qb the opportunity to turn the last place team around is a huge opportunity and he could do it. The team needs a leader. This guy is a leader.
This young man is like the one with the Chiefs, Mature, Focused and a Leader.. Any team that wants him should do whatever it takes to get him.. The Bengals Ownership needs to change it's Ideology and Spend money to support him, the City and State👏👍
Joe Burrow’s preparation and confidence just remind me of Tom Brady so much. I’m not comparing the two like THAT, that’d be outrageous. But i’m almost certain he’ll be great. He’s a winner. -Pats fan
Oozes confidence. Seems like the kinda guy that just knows that all he can do is try to be the best he can be and doesn’t worry about things out of his control. He has no fear
XBROKEN the dolphins have 4 amazing WR’s, 5 high draft picks, plenty of high tier players who were on injury reserve in prep for this upcoming season. I don’t think the Bengals come near that.
People really need to stop bashing the Bengals by saying that "Cincinnati is where qb's go to end their career". That statement does not hold true at all compared to the Browns. Since 1999 the Bengals have stuck with 3 starting qb's. The Browns on the other hand have gone through 27 different qb's since 1999. The Bengals from a management standpoint may not be appealing to the media but from a perspective of building around each quarterback since 1999, the Bengals have and will do everything possible to allow Joe Burrow to succeed in Cincy.
@cajenner10 Valid point, I acknowledge the "everything possible" comment may have been a reach but I was just pointing out that cincy is certainly not where qb's come to "end their career" compared to the browns. I totally agree with you on how cheap Mike Brown is and he has at points held this franchise to its true potential which makes it hard to go all in on supporting the Bengals as a franchise. On the field they have some really nice pieces but managment/owner wise Mike Brown is a huge handicap to this team which is unfortunate.
What the hell are y’all jabronies talking about as of today Cincinnati probably got the most talented team in the nfl. So many weapons that burrow can throw to and they have a great running back. All this team needs is a quarterback and maybe some o line help and then you will see the bengals get back to winning.
Me too! It was a dream season and will be a long time before we have another like this. I wish him well wherever he goes. What a humble guy from a great family.
Hey Joe, I’m right behind the Bengal visitors bench in row 8. We are Ohio football fanatics. Believe me you’re going to be happy to be a Bengal. We’re not as bad as people say and you’ll be glad you joined us.
As a Bengal fan I'm so hoping they pick him as much as the Cavs needed to pick Lebron.local boy comes helps save franchise perfect story.Burrow+Green+Mixon would be an amazing trio
The QB has never been the Bengals issue. They've had very good QB's but they waste them. They're not committed to putting talent around him and no QB can do it on his own. Until they change their structure from the top level down and start paying players to win instead of getting people in the seats they'll waste every QB they get.
hell yeah. Burrow keep at it, aint cocky thats just confident. at the end of the day why would you! real competitors wont let grown men push em around n lose. real winner shit
He confident but humble because he gave credit to JT Barrett for his mindset and game preparation. A cocky player would never give credit to anyone for Their success. Let's not forget he thanked Ohio State during his Hiesman speech
To keep things in perspective when I was a kid the Saints and Patriots were utter and complete trash. Laughing stocks of the NFL for years....until they got the right quarterback.
More like the right owners who were intent on winning. Bledsoe wasn't crap and neither were Plunkett or Grogan. Bledsoe won that AFC Championship game with the Steelers, before Brady came back for the Rams, and his ring was deserved. I was a Rams fan until they moved to St Louis and then the Pats got Kraft, Parcells and Bledsoe. I grew up in CT mostly and have lived near Springfield MA for 33 years. I switched to the Pats in 94. It has been a great ride since then. I also have been a Wolverines fan since '69. I loved that 2000 Orange Bowl and had 0 doubts about Brady.
Kahrem Favors Unfortunately, when you wake up from the wet dream you are currently in, and realize that their owner hasn’t changed, you will have to deal with the reality that the Bengals suck donkey penis. I have no idea at all how Marvin Lewis coached there for so long. He’s awful.
lol yeahh ... winning the Heisman and the National Championship and about to become a multi-millionaire being the #1 pick in the draft ... he was no doubt living the good life down there in Miami during Super Bowl week 😎
bengals have 1 of the most talented receiving cores, 1 of the best rbs in the NFL and there o line is improving but no people think the lolphins is a better team lmfao just sad
A little cocky, but that's OK. He's won the Heisman Trophy and will probably be the #1 pick in the draft. He's clearly a hard worker in midweek studies. Whoever gets him -- the Bengals or whoever -- will get a boost right away.
Our State of Louisiana it has been very blessed on being the home for a lot of professional young men that represent all pro sports from college basketball to NFL prospects; Burrow ; Brees , Bush , Zion , even though I hated the way the deserted us but CP3 and Davis were good ambassadors ; Shaq and the list goes on and that doesn’t include our locals players ! I know joe feels that part of him belongs the Bayou , he embraced us so we all did when he got here ; he will forever be the QB that represented LSU and won all awards available on the college level , now we are blessed to have the future and KING of the NBA for years to come to come in Zion ; mark my words ZION will change the NBA and the future of the Pels as well , both very professional and well outspoken when giving interviews!
Clyde Edwards Helaire has the combination of Patience and vision like LeVeon Bell and the maneuverability of Darren Sproles. Helaire will be over looked, he played well against a lot of good players who will be playing on Sundays. One on one in the open field, a defender has no chances. If he plays with a Russell Wilson, look out. I am a LSU fan but I remember when the two 2018 Ole Miss receivers were passed up in the 2019 draft, I was thinking those 2 had probably played against more future pro’s than most receivers coming out college. If you draft a good Big 12 receiver before a good SEC receiver, you deserve what you get, no offense to CeeDee Lamb.
Damn Patrick is actually encouraging him to diss the Bengals... Absolutely no respect.. Mike Brown is cheap but the organization is not DYSFUNCTIONAL.. I hope we draft Joe Burrow & win BIGLY so we can bring back all of these HATING ass comments when they try to jump on the bandwagon.. Who Dey!!..
Milhauze Kraig Dude are you delusional. I know this might be hard for you to hear but the organization is so dysfunctional. Mike Brown being cheap isn’t the reason the bengals haven’t made it past the wild card round in the decade lmao
@@memeyloaf7999 Please even Kansas City has a WORST win-loss record over the past DECADE... The Bengals play in the same Division as Pittsburgh & Baltimore have made the playoffs while being competitive & winning a few divisional titles..How many of the NFL's "good" franchises have to compete with those 2 IN DIVISION??.. The lack of Playoff wins just helps to keep the Bungles NARRATIVE alive for lazy writers, media heads & opinionated loudmouth fans... Once the Ass Kicking Starts the Ass Kissing Starts.. Who Dey Hoe!!..
@@shawndurham297 Name a "Good Franchise" that would have nearly 80 wins & 5 playoff appearances in the last Decade in a Division with Pittsburgh & Baltimore??.. Over a decade 1 or both of those teams made the playoffs with us(Consider the COMPETITION)!!??..New England has had Cake Walks through their Division for 20 years..Everyone else has been suspect over a decade..The SB winner had a 50 year absence in a weak division..
Milhauze Kraig The Bengals always waste talent, always draft busts, they have have a 77-81-2 record in the past 10 years while Kansas City have had a 96-64 record and a super bowl win. The careers of Chad Johnson, Carson Palmer, Andy Dalton, AJ green, Andrew Whitworth, Geno Atkins and now Joe burrow have been ruined by this franchise. The ravens are only an OK franchise. In the 90s the Bengals had back to back number 1 overall picks and both guys did NOTHING for the franchise. They don't even had a GM and as long as anyone with the last name brown owns the team the Bengals will always suck.
Bengals is one of the most snake bitten teams with number one selections in years and years of previous drafts....hope the kid turns in a stud and helps Bengals to become a contender
This guy is what life is all about -- just trusting that things will work out in their own time. Whatever is meant to be will happen. If you're ever feeling frustrated or beat down by life, read "The Alchemist." The journey is what matters -- not the final destination.
I saw a comment on here that I was responding to and it was deleted. The comment was basically saying he didn’t want to play in Cincinnati but doesn’t want to be known and remembered like Eli. Look. There are only 32 NFL Starting QB jobs. It did sound like to me he’s not excited about going to Cincy but smart enough to know that he’s in a great position. He can go #1 and play his 5 years in Cincy, if they waste those years and/or Joe decides he doesn’t like Cincy, then roll out as a big time FA QB and get up over $200 Million mark on a contract with the team of his choosing. Also he hasn’t taken one damn NFL snap everybody needs to settle down about him being the second coming of Brady. One more note if he does start trying to manipulate his draft spot if I’m Cincy I take the best trade I can get and rebuild that way. I personally feel like this young man has a bright future and I wish All the best to him.
e a he will not be past his prime he’ll be just entering into it. Bengals - Playoffs 5/10 years the past decade. Tons of Young talent. QB minded coach. They NEED a QB to help them put it all together. Don’t swallow the National Narrative w/o investigating it yourself because most of the time it’s wrong. The franchise has been to two Super Bowls - more than half the league. He could do worse I’ll say that. He’d be 27-28 at the end of that contract.
@@CPBreezy80 I've not only investigated the Bengals, I have lived in Cincy since the 70's. I once was a fan, too. I'm older and wiser to this franchise they call Bengals. I use to get upset when they lost and had very bad years, then I settled to "I just hope they do well for the city's sake". Now, I don't waste time or money on them and I believe that has spread to many, many others that once were a fan. Check out the attendance records for a tid bit of "investigation".
Post Season Appearances in the past 11 seasons: Cleveland: 0 Miami: 1 Pittsburgh: 6 Baltimore: 6 Cincinnati: 6 This notion that Cincinnati is an awful franchise is a bad take. Cincinnati is by no means the best franchise in the NFL. The notion that they are the worst is far from true. Miami just got rid of all their talent, you sure you want to go there as a prospect? Cincinnati had the tenth highest winning percentage from 2010 to 2019. Any response to that?
Joe W. I agree. I’m surprised Marvin has not been hired to HC again. Perennial playoff team with little help in free agents and bad luck with some draft picks. IMHO
Tua seemed really nervous when interviewed by Dan Patrick. Burrow has ice water in his veins. As a Dolphins fan, I would gladly give up all 3 of our first rounders and both of our 2nd rounders to move up from the 5th spot to the 1st spot for this kid.
I wouldn't put any stock in being nervous during an dan patrick interview. Kawhi leonard was nervous during his phoenix suns interview and that's why they didn't draft him....
