Thinking about buying some but what difference between 6 inch or 4 inch bracket.

Hey Joe. Just deployed my new Raptors for the first time in the st Lawrence. I was a little shocked at the side to side torque that was put on them and was afraid they might break. Is this possible? Maybe I’m just being overly cautious but they were bent to the side pretty severely. Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks man!
