I play c-f button accordion and have an old 1 row c as well.I got an old paolo soprani looks same as yours have a suspicion it is an irish box.It is a bit out of tune but how do you identify if it is a irish box?

Irish tuning is similar to scotch in that the box will have a wide musette sound, the more tremolo, the more vibrations you'll hear between the reeds, my personal opinion is to leave a good amount of tremolo on an accordion, in a lot of tunes it sounds better and gives the music a more of buzz

Most accordions don't have leather because sliding your thumb up and down the grove is better
