Please oh lord and saviour Joe Dart give me the courage to play the loosest of rhythms and the precision to play the tightest of grooves, and the wisdom to know the difference between when to use either.
Even if you do not receive such an admiration for yourself, even if it’s for the band, it’s is a great feeling to know your music is appreciated. Such a high~ Jam on~
very true, sad many people will never experience that relationship that comes from being part of a very tight rhythm section....i always tell people its on the level as sex as far as pleasure goes for me.....
Such a great entertainer. He's a talented player, understands how to make a statement with dynamics, and he can get down right funky groovy. He's exactly what other musicians desperately want for a killer jam session! ..it's not about the scales, technicality, or music theory.. it's simply doing exactly what needs done to make your ears happy, your soul excited, and to be able to walk away after a long night of live music feeling energized and optimistic. Kudos Joe!
@@SenorCinema an understanding of keys, scales, theory, etc can obviously play a huge role when a musician is playing an instrument.. but that doesn't conclude your claim. As you believe there was nothing more than a musician utilizing an instrument to convey their knowledge of music theory, scales, and rhythm.. I inferred feeling and emotion. Some of us understand a deeper meaning from music and hear the parts of music that go beyond what's written on a 5 line staff. Maybe it's just something that comes from years of experience.
@Todd Beeman God you're a cringey guy. Do you think you are in some middle school class teaching to 12 year-old about your "years of experience" in the failed ukulele player or what ?
The happiness of the band players when joe dart strokes is the sign of that they love each other companies and real musicianship they are not jealous of each other but appreciates each other
The "joe dart on the fender bass" is still one of the highest points of bass history two legends in the same sentences and each putting the bass in the center and front
Joe Dart is good, righteous and humble. He has no issue at all to admit that he grew up listen guys like Flea, or Pino, while most great bassist nowadays might consider it uncool, yo know... and they say bollocks such "Me, as a bassist, use to get inspired by dinosaur´s roars, and 1810´s keyboards line" and so. Dart, man youre totally the boss, mate!
I think you're just hanging out with weird bassists or lying. Flea and Pino considered uncool? Inspired by dinosaur roars? what the frig are you talking about
@@DaveDexterMusic just read comments on bassist as Thundercat or so....always talking shit about flea or pino...i mean, of course they are brutally good and cool, but -just like the Beatles- very underrated for a big number in the most young geberation. Pino, and Flea are.one of my very fab ever. Cheers, mate.
I love how he intermittently quotes their own music in his solos (Animal Spirits in this case), and also so many funk classics (Sir Duke in this case) and just throws that in with all his tasty improv. That's how you know they are playing music for musicians.
