Legit, I haven't thought about this movie in awhile and honestly a great movie. Second hand embarrassment through the roof. Feel bad when he finds out his folks are dicks. He carried around a chunk of sh*t in a wagon, it's classic.
First off, happy birthday to David Spade! And 2, this movie and scene will always be one of my favorites! Even the part in this video when Joe Dirt in the story when he was a kid made the cows fart a lot with the bottle rockets that he found very funny!
i don't like how everyone in the world just sees joe dirt and automatically shits on him without reason. It just never made sense to me. Is he just one of those people that you see and for no reason automatically hate him purely on the vibe?
Because movie logic. In real life people that get shat on like that are usually autistic, and I don't see signs of autism from him. He WAS weak and spineless, but you wouldn't know just how weak and spineless until you bullied him first, and normally you won't get bullied first unless you give off autistic vibes, which joe dirt doesn't give off.
@@kevinthomas676 Jesus bro you dug this one straight outta the grave, this movie had a hell of a impact on me as a child it just taught me to keep going after your dreams. Much love bro
You're a legend dude lol man this movie was so good watching brings back so many memories. Watching as a young kid not fully understanding all the context and fast forwarding to an adult and really understanding what it's all about how this dude doesn't care at all what people think of him but still has a righteous heart and is genuine hits deep dude
I saw this when I was like 10 or somewhere around there and All I could remember was the the part where hes trying to steel a hubcap and he finds the dog with his balls frozen to the poarch then he uses the spatualla.. hahahaha... and the part where the old man losses his leg to the train tracks after he gets his foot stuck.
The grand canyon? Should have picked their filming locations a little better, that's pretty clearly Dead Horse Point outside Moab, nowhere near the Grand Canyon haha
I wonder if they made it that way because of how they can park all over the lot whereas at Grand Canyon they stopped traffic for shuttles only. So to make it appear like Grand Canyon back in the 70's, they filmed at Dead Horse. I dunno. Guess there had to be a reason.
I just now realized that Kelly actually spoils the plot twist for the entire movie that Joe dirts parents just left him. Never would have noticed that until seeing it many times.
It’s because you can tell he’s having fun with the role. Some of his other movies he’s also good in but it doesn’t feel like he enjoys playing the character take Tommy Boy for example he’s great in that too but it feels like he’s just playing a role to get paid. You can tell he actually enjoys playing Joe Dirt and it shows through in his performance, that’s why I love this movie. You can tell that most of the people involved are having fun and I appreciate that because it makes for a more enjoyable movie.
